You might want to do some research so next time you don't like a uninformed jack ass. A steel block will make more power because the cylinder walls deform less from heat which in turn means they hold their shape more consistently and experience less compression loss thereby creating more power.

Thank you for the informational back up, but it seems that we are beating dead horses with information that really isn't top secret or hard to figure out. I guess you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink lol.

Careful naming drivers, especially known names or "name brand" drivers like blose or stile or you will get labeled as I did for simply making examples. Sorry I don't consider Denny Fenton or Luke hoffener name brand drivers, they are simply field fillers to me. Guys like blose or stile can win at different tracks and people will go to see them race unlike the normal names at hummingbird.

Yes steel blocks do produce more horsepower than an alumn engine, so thank you for making yourself look stupid just like hummingbird is setting up to do with running the fluff classes and to think most of you are supporting this future failure of your track. you guys do not make sense.

as examples i'll name any drivers that come to mind. haha. I don't care what anyone says. might pull in guys like Rodney Phillips more often, Andrew Gordon if he's still running this year, denton bowyer, maybe not the so called "name brand" but still entertaining to watch.

Well maybe I shouldn't have used the term name brand, but you all knew regardless of the wording I used that I was referring to names of better known drivers that people go to watch.

It's funny how majority of the pages in this thread are people telling hummingbird they are wrong by adding this micro class and that they should either raise limited pay, add a crate class, or raise pay and open to super lates. Unless I missed it, I haven't seen any comments from any micro owner supporting the movement.

Punisher, Thanks again for the input. Have you called the track owner yet with your ideas? By the way the micro drivers were asked not to comment! Anything they say will be took in the wrong way. People will always cause trouble on here. Like this topic. It was posted that the 270 were being added to the end of the program and you would think the world is coming apart!!! SOME PEOPLE!!!!!!!! There is support I promise you. Thanks Robert Siegel 814-229-2525

nothing against micro drivers or you or anything. but opening the late models up would have been the better choice in the area

gofast05, Thanks for the input. Not taking it the wrong way at all. I am saying instead of people running there mouth's on here they should call track owners. They will listen if you call. You might be right about opening the rules. I feel that if you open it up they will want more money thru the field. The few you gain you would lose the steel blocks to MC because they don't want to run against Supers. I might be wrong, I Don't own a late model so I really don't have a dog in the fight plus I don't work for the speedway so It doesn't matter to me either way A far as the micro's go it is hard for any speedway to pass on a class that will have a full field every night and willing to run at the back end of the program! I will gladfully talk to louie about any idea I have and/or the amount of input that this site has. but ive been down that road before and basically was ignored which is fine, its not my track to run.

as far as the full field goes, and not to be rude, but ill believe it when I see it. I enjoy watching a good micro race but every night I personally think is too much.

one weekend at hummingbird, the next at AMP, the next at marion center, so on and so forth. I know that'd be hard on some of the micro guys but I don't think micros are an every night kind of class.

AMP hasn't lost any steelblocks to the supers over there. and steel blocks have won the Mick over Supers before. as stated, a steel block can make as much and more power than a super. throw in a weight restriction, and you're good to go with either or!

I think Hummingbirds best bet, is to have Micro's as a once-a-month deal. Same with Mod-lites on different nights. but open to supers weekly.

I agree on having monthly specials, but not weekly shows for micros. When I have visited hummingbird I have always watched fans leave after the limited late models run. Majority of the time I have been there the shows ran too long with the classes they have anyways.

Want made you change your mind in a hurry? Not causing trouble just wondering what happened. Track owners take input from many sources when they make a decsion. No joke this topic that you started in nov was printed and looked at during the process. Here is what you posted on 12 Nov mod lites, micro sprints 270 or 600, e-mods, 358 mods, midgets, ANYTHING!!!

I'm sure track owners look at these message boards from time to time whenever they announce a change at their facility. He should be able to clearly see and should have already known what the people want to see. Black flag for the heck of it you should add a topic and question the public on here what's their thoughts of hummingbird opening up to super lates and see what kind of responses you get. I would rather not do it myself because of my biased opinion that they should.

Here is what you posted on 12 Nov

micro sprints 270 or 600,
e-mods,
358 mods,
midgets,
ANYTHING!!!

I was more or less egging on a monthly special. if the micros were monthly that'd be way better. i'll always stick to my "open late models" point.

and i'll stick to exactly what I said there. just because I have the same idea now as I did then with monthly specials. and not really even "specials" just something different for the fans, and drivers alike. I just went back and re-read that whole topic.

and it is all based on monthly races. not nightly. so I haven't changed my mind at all in all honesty.
