is it a new company buying the track, or did they just buy the little building beside the track?? for as long as the mileys have been in racing, I highly doubt they would have sold the track and not gave the racers a chance to know before hand.

I just wanted to give Matt the opportunity to redeem himself...... Lol I was going to let him explain what SWGR ATHLETICS means to all of us Racers and to the fans , BUT you can google it and look on YouTube at their commercial .

People can believe all they want, but from what has been said about this being sold to this SWGR athletics, there is no way that would be going in North Fayette. What they have "planned" on their website (which looks like a freshmen in college with a computer class under his belt made), has no chance of fitting ALL of that facility in the confines of that land. Not only that, the buildings and activities they have planned would not survive in the area, theres just no need for it, and theres certainly no neccessity that it includes for Western PA. The undertaking in which they are claiming to be involved with would be nothing short of a miracle of lasting a half of a year let alone even getting built. Until I am swimming in the "half olympic sized pool" or throwing a touchdown with Joe Montana on their state of the art football field, I am not going to believe this one bit. I also forgot to mention all of the chemicals and other waste in that land that would prevent even the richest person from being able to afford to clean it up enough to support drainage, showers, saunas, and all that other jazz that this "company" is promising... Unless they bought the township along with it, I dont see them getting a building permit for this taj mahal of sports.

We had one of those places up here. Hovis Auto Supply uses it for a warehouse and distribution center. It may have made it a year of bleeding money as a state of the art athletic facility before going belly up.

And the real estate listing for the place actually says the land for sale is adjacent to the track, not the track itself. There's that, too.


But I still say there's a bigger chance of Jonny Huck voting Democrat than there ever will be of some huge athletic facility built at 170 Kelso Road.

The point is, they may have never talked to anybody about selling any land. This isn't the first time, nor will it be the last time a fly by night "corporation" has made a video and website for a business that has no chance in hell of ever existing. Especially when the business is going to call itself something like SWGR Athletics.

Not to mention that if it isnt actually in the SAME spot as the track that it would not be built within 2 or 3 years minimum so therfore theres no reason to even bring it up. Matts answers all sufficed for what was being asked, he didnt say any land was sold, which for all we know it really isnt even sold yet, and that there will be a season this year. Look what happened to the big NASCAR track that was going out near the airport, that had everything built on paper and other businesses came in to complement it.... how many NASCAR races has anybody attended in the area?

If you google transactions the only thing that comes up for sale at 170 Kelso RD is the land adjacent to the track. If that land did sell to this place it could be a good thing for the track. Maybe give it some exposure.

Just talked to the guy in the video, he said the ppl that filmed it said that they bought the racetrack, He forgets how many million they said... I asked him if it was the property next to it and he said they told him the race track. So who knows.
