A while back the discussion about Tri City started in another thread about a sheriff's sale.
There was a specific plot of land in the sheriff's sale and it was public record. Back then out of curiosity I went to the online records of the sale and found the specific plot of land.
The land I found which is the only land I'm writing about, was land locked except for a plotted road through over grown woods, per google earth view, that went from north of the current entrance to the road to the pit entrance. The land included the stands and the track with the exception of turns three and four.
I did not find any of the rest of the land around the track, to be part of the sheriff's sale. I'm not going to search again because I don't care since, the track appears to not be opening. But if someone else wants to, I think finding out the disposition of the parcel which was up for sheriff's sale, might explain some things. For the track to open or to be sold as a race track, all the parties which have the included land deeded to them, must agree to it. As far as what the deal was to open the track, other then being interesting it's really none of our business unless we were hurt by the deal. But public record is open to everyone and is everyone's business, that's why it's public.
