The reason Norris and Ferree win at PPMS isn't tires. If you ask they would sell them to you.
The fact is they work harder and drive harder than the rest. Quit crying about cheaters and work on your car.

Anytime someone wins they must cheat right. BS

I wouldn't say they work harder. Alot of teams work hard to get it right each week! They have the resources to do it right. I am not talking only money wise. They are ahead of the game by knowing what works and what doesnt by testing and networking with other teams, chassis builders, shock people etc. They have a group of people that goes with them that makes a team. Cheating is a very strong word if you cant back it up and how can you positively say that some team is cheating? I always say until you run as well as last weeks winner why worry about anyone else? Until your team is at its best how can you say anything about anyone else? Some teams cant ever reach their potential because they are too worried about what other teams are or arent doing.

Those were not the tires for this Penn Nat race, I believe, not my department. 1425 was a popular tire.

Not sure it's true or not, but I heard from a reliable source that Norris will not be running at PPMS on a regular basis this season. Time will tell.

Who knows, maybe he wasn't ready, but I know he'll probably be at Lernerville next Friday and for a couple of Fridays after that and, when he doesn't win or goes over the hill or hits the wall or gets run over by someone he pissed off, he won't be back until next year.

Considering his proclivity to popping motors, not running PPMS makes sense.

Tire doping has been going on for years. It use to be xylene inside to soften and toluene outside. And if you want some initial traction, add some ATF to the outside dope. Now it's much more complicated and each tire may be doped for specific purposes and to give a specific advantage, at a particular part of the track. Today's tire dope can be chemicals which prepare tires for a specific race and after the date of the prepared for race, the tires are junk and worthless. Those chemicals to prepare tires are generally the most hazardous and most cancer causing, to the point of basically being Raid for people. Another way of preparing tires is with more expensive chemicals, some even patented for tire doping which are mostly not carcinogens. Tires are adjusted inside and out to give specific results and hardness readings. Modern patented products often and usually have no odor. You can open the lid of a can of tire dope, smell it and notice nothing in the way of odor. About the only thing you will notice about properly doped tires is they just seem newer, then what you'd expect to find with a non doped new tire. Adjusting tires today is done by using exact quantities in ounces to give desired results. You know exactly how many ounces of dope to use and at what tempreature to use it, to change the durometer reading a specific amount. There are specific methods of doping used for different results. You can mechanically distribute tire prep inside a round tire automatically with the prep only being applied to inside of the tread area of the tire. All of this is no secret and the only way to try to keep the horrible cancer causing chemicals out of racing, is to ban all prep and do testing. At a minimum, every car should have every tire checked for hardness before it goes out on the track. But it will not stop tire doping. Until recent years there was no rule on tire doping. The only rule any track cared about was to use a specific brand of tire. If your ever in a race shop and see a big metal box in the corner or in the back room, it's not a giant rotisserie parts cleaner, nor a big cooker to do up a whole deer or hog. If your sitting in the stands at a race and a couple of laps into the feature you notice an aroma and your eyes may even sting a little and then it goes away, it's not nitro or cheating fuel you smelled that shortly goes away.

Ever get DQ'ed for a deck that was too high when you won? Ever win... legal?
