You have to work on your cars boys. We ain't drag racing. 2 straits and 6 corners ( entry middle and exit ) 6 is more than 2. I don't do motors. I do springs.shocks. tires and %.

I drive the #46 car just to set the record straight. I had 1.5 roller rockers on. completely slipped my mind when I made the switch to the bird last week. They were legal at AMP where I was running. I am changing them for this week and will be back Saturday night.

now now there will be no talk on here of these classes being out of hand just ask the guys who are driving cars they don't have a penny in and they will tell you that they have the greatest sponsers in the world .i talked with louie( hummingbird )a few years ago and said we needed to have a meeting the week after the races ended because everyone was complaining about these late model look alike street stocks with full roller engines and the oncoming bert transmissions and he agreed, and then i was sent a p.m. by the former promoter that said all we wanted to do was start a fight and there would be no meeting! now look at your car counts there is not a full field of street stocks between 2 tracks you put the little guys out of business and it is easier to just leave the cars in the garage , but if you are going to have a meeting at least someone needs to step up and have some balls to make a set of rules that make sense not vote for everything the big dollar teams have .roller motors and bert transmissions belong in late models not street stock/pure stocks. look at the semi late class at AMP if you could get all the cars there on the same night i think you would have at least 15 or 16 cars and that is enough for a short track in my opinion.guys came out of the front wheel drive class and are doing well in this class.355 non roller engines you can build in your garage. i know there are no berts at hummingbird in the street stocks but how long before there is

tracks want thier own set of rules so they have thier cars there weekly you could say a gaurenteed car count i dont go along with it and never will racing here in our area is in trouble maybe all across the country our local tracks need to come down off thier HIGH horse and sit down and come up with a common set of rules for the classes that way any given race team can go to different tracks and be leagl in the class they run and if the tracks would work together on a season schedule where they would take turns running different nights fridays saturdays and sunday late afternnno early evening i truely believe that all the tracks would benefit from this and the track promoters and owners need to go to area businesses like they did in the past and show what they have to offer for thier advertisement at thier track if we as drivers crews fans and tracks would all work together our local racing would be in a better state

the rules at amp were changed last year allowing the 4 bbl carb and triple disc clutch and with each addition of these items you were to add 100lbs the roller rockers were in the rules from the start car count was down and some cars came with a 4bbl and triple disc and were told not to bring them back the drivers said if the rules were changed that more of the cars from another track woulc come there to race (knox- sportsmen speedway) well only one of the drivers was a some what regular the rest of the season after the changes freeze the rules dont add or dont take away from them when this season is over the local track management`s need to sit down and discuss thier rules and finrd common ground for all classes and they will be better off for it

Mark,
I never said "all you wanted to do was start a fight." And I did not say "There will be no meeting." What I said was that Louie realized everyone wouldn't be able to agree at a meeting and it would TURN INTO an argument. Nothing would be resolved so he decided against it.

potato ...pottoto say it how ever you want the thing is there was a group of guys who were willing to get together after the season was over and discuss a set of standard rules before they went out and bought everything new for next season. now the class is dying and there are no young guns stripping cars down to come into the street stock or the pure stock classes i have 3 sons that want someday to build a car but why bother . my first car was a 80 dollar cutlass with a 125 dollar roll cage and a 50 dollar engine i got the transmission for nothing and ran an 8 gallon beer keg for a fuel cell to run enduros at hidden valley after the races we all stood around talking and having a beer , those days are over now it is smash your way to the front and damn the torpedos .the truth is there is a way to save these two classes but nobody wants to bend a little and do the right thing, ask the fans what they think they are your paying customer i will bet you they hate these late model lookalike sheet metal monsters . in a few years there will be 4 different late model classes and no stock cars.

I really dont see this class dying, maybe in the dubois/clearfield area but not in general.

sorry snooky the smash your way to the front thing came from amp and it was quite funny seeing the white barrels flying in turn three.anyone wanting to see nice looking cars look at hagerstown stocks at least a few years ago they still looked like a car fans could identify with.ok off the soap box now you guys have fun.

race ace you might think its funny seeing the barrels flying on to the track but if you would have to spend hours pounding out a car body because of another drivers ignorance its not fun apparently the 5x has no respect for his car or others after a bone head move like he pulled on laps 12 and 13 if you have a dominate car and can pass at will why does a driver have to beat on or run into every car thay that driver goes by and where was the black flag for this agerssive driving style a few weeks ago at amp the flagman said in the drivers meeting that agressive driving would not fly and you would be back flagged
