Passing point heats make the heat race action worth the price if admission. PPMS is notorious for painful heat races when they are straight up, so make the drivers pass some cars and earn their spot in the feature. The best racers should make it to the feature, not the best qualifiers. Qualifying is not racing.

I agree, ppms heats are 90% boring as hell. id rather see 4 heats with 10-12 cars in each race.than 6-8 cars in 6 heats

Sorry, didn't even look at a calendar just saw the late August date and imgained it would be Labor Day weekend. That is good that it won't be an issue.

Everyone including me bitched about Miley's not stepping up to the plate and making the Pittsburgher a premier show. Well for 2015 they have!!! I think this will be one of the "must be at shows" next year. The track surface has been very well maintained  and I think the drivers have been pretty happy with it. I have to give Matt credit, he has been on this board and Facebook all year trying to promote his track and shows, putting himself out there. There isnt another promoter that I know of that is doing this. For all of dirt racing we should all stop bitching and help promote these tracks and shows.

I wonder if Lucas is going to allow lake imperial to be left in place around the bottom ?? Who ever demands the bottom be left flooded and not run in like that honestly deserves their balls layed on a cinder block and smashed with the round end of a dig bar. A Lucas race is great because Lucas tests tires and everyone will be on a level playing field.

The racing is a lot better when Brian doesn't build the moat around the bottom.  Guys were finally able to run the bottom at the Pittsburgher and it looks like the moat was absent from the sprint show too.  It was fun to watch guys like Yoder digging on the bottom to pass people Pittsburgher weekend.  Let's hope the moat is gone forever.  It's good to see the Miley's step up to the plate, now they need to work on facility maintenance and their attitudes.  What they did to Eichelberger Pittsburgher weekend was wrong, and the phrase "if you don't like it go somewhere else" needs to be removed from their vocabulary because people are going somewhere else.  The entire facility needs painted, all of the weeds in the infield should be sprayed at the beggining of the year so that it doesn't look like crap all season long, and the road into the track should have been paved or tarred and chipped years ago.  The soccer moms won't like getting their cars dirty every time they drive up in there so hopefully the new soccer fields will require that the road gets fixed permanently.  There's no excuse for burned out light bulbs in the track lighting either.  Then there's the fact that the track wall is falling in and the many boards that need replaced in the grandstands.  Promoters need to start taking pride in what they own.

It results in more people coming back to hand their money over to you.

Really how much does it cost to cut the weeds?  If you can't afford to pay someone to do it, get the weed wacker out and do it yourself!   Same for the bathrooms.  Clean them yourself if you can't afford help.  They are without a doubt some of the laziest promoters in the area, and their facility reflects that!

So you are not running super lates as part of your regular show? I can see more tracks following suit. As much as i love super lates , they just can't pull good fields at ppms. Even with the small field they get, the racing is usualy good, i will miss seein them every week but fully understand the decision.

schedule looks good.

The pit passes , grand stand admission and payouts will all be the same just no super lates lol . They should absolutely send the winners right rear for testing after the special races but they won't. At least for the Lucas race everyone will be on clean rubber ....

they averaged about 13 supers per week, cutting them weekly will save them around $4,000
to $4,500 on nights they don't run. They also will not be pulling the cash from the super teams on that night.
