Plus who knows about kitchen equipment and things such as that...will take a lot of cash to reopen.

Lights are gone and scoreboard went to Thunder mtn., so unless someone plans on mowing it's going to be the same field of weeds it was a few years ago, as it probably should be. There are far better tracks sitting idle that deserve a chance LONG before this place ever does again.
I never understand why people do that! After you went broke...what good is a couple hundred bucks???? And then the place is put in a hole for someone else to take over! Jack Lentz did the same thing at Challenger! Of course he was allways all about the money!

Not sure what you point is. Lentz owned the Challenger property, it was his to do what he wanted. And what's wrong with being about the money? If your not making at least some money, making it worth your effort, why bother.

If you own a track, you have to be all about the money. If your track isn't making money, it's not going to be open.
Do you even think before you shitpost?

No....I just probably love this sport more than any of you! I consider it a sin to desicrate a race track! When you do that....it lessens the chances of it ever re-opening! And YES...I don't think everything should be about the money! Is racing about the money for you Legend??? I think not! But I will at least give you a level of respect because you have a race car! And have spent the time and money to be a racer! Challenger was one of the most sucessful tracks ever! And Yes.....I think it was a SIN to dismantle it! Why not lease it and give someone else a chance to bring racing back to a fine facility! There was Interest! As far as you....Mr. Bacon Bits....Everytime you open your mouth....you prove what an immature Idiot you really are. That has 0 experience in anything but being a Bleacher creature! No one is interested in your imput! It makes no sence! Go back to playing with your matchbox cars and dream you actually have a game! Because you don't!

I can see both sides here, but in this case I have to believe that 714d is correct, Jeff was just plain mad as H--- wanted AMP to fail no matter what...in the case of Challenger Lentz did own the track,...yes Jeff had every right to take everything, because he paid for it...not sure that I would have done the same...I don't really think in the overall scheme of his checking account that the few things he sold meant putting or not putting food on the table...after all of the things that he said in AARN...well form your own opinion as to why he took everything...spite or he needed the money?

Exactly....You are talking pennies on the dollar! I would think Mr. taylor as a racer would done differently! I can't beleive any of these guys got any meaningful monies out these sales of equipment. And as I stated previously....Lessens the chances of it ever comming back! I guess I just don't understand the the "Spite Aspect". I You personally failed as a Businessman....Move On! Don't take another bite out of a sport that is allready hurting so badly. A Sport that at one time had to be your passion.

So according to you if a guy try's to revive a track he owes it to the sport to spend himself to the poor house , max out his credit cards and sell his little boy to Jerry Sandusky ??? You sir are a dumb ass
I may be wrong and sure some will correct me if I am but it was my understanding that he didn't own the place that Joey C. still held the deed on the place.
If that indeed is the case he was very smart removing what ever he brought in on his dime IMO.

Really makes no difference...he definitely didn't "spend himself to the poor house" I think there's a one in a million chance that the track would reopen whether he took everything or left everything...Joey C sure isin't going to reopen or he would have done it already. Don't think he maxed out his credit cards either, and I'm not sure whether he has a son to send to Sandusky or not.

What are you going to do if/when all the tracks that are close to you fold up?? Drive to Eldora every weekend? You should be hoping that more people like the Miley's keep trying to make it happen for everyone! Otherwise....you may not be racing! As far as a promotor ever makeing a profit???? I think it would be tough today at best! Two of the Best promotors ever..... I am sure never made a profit. That being Don Martin and Piney Lasky! I think it would be safe to say they both put anything they made back into the sport or the Facility!

I don't know about Lasky, but you better check your sources about Don Martin, because I distinctly recall reading were he said Lernerville didn't turn a profit for the first seven or so years it was open. I'm pretty confident he did okay after that. Don was passionate about racing, but what made him successful was that he was more passionate about making money.
