Gas is 1.75 in Ohio 2.45 on average in pa. So race fuel different by the state also or is it whatever people decide this year is the best fuel so let's raise the price on what people wanna run. Its all bullshit. Its been the same for years in racing the guy that spends the most will or should win. At higher levels of racing its different cause all teams are funded well therefore your local standouts struggle to race with other great drivers on level playing field.

Liquid fuels (motor gasoline and gasohol) $0.505/gallon Fuels (undyed diesel and undyed kerosene) $0.642/gallon

It's not an add'l tax as stated.  The increase was due to the Act 89 in the Transportation Bill passed last year.  The fuel tax was determined to be increased in increments versus doing it all at once.  It will not go up in 2016 and will again increase in 2017 as part of the bill.  I know some will argue the facts but i will gladly help in this department.

I don't think anyone was implying that it was a new additional tax, but called it "more tax" referring to the additional amount of tax on fuel. Don't speak as though we are all ignorant.

lol 714.  it seems as if you are being a bit sensitive.  I was referring to the post stating that another tax was being implemented, not more tax as you incorrectly quoted.  it's ok though, you seem to know it all anyway.  good luck and happy driving.

I certainly don't claim to know it all. I do know that it sucks paying $2.40+ while the rest of the country pays under $2 while our roads continue to suck balls no matter how many times they are "repaired".

714d.  You could always move.  I don't like the prices anymore than you but I also know that it's not changing. Only recently did Pa change their fuel tax. It had been constant for several years.

Why on earth would I move to save money on gas? The moving expense would far exceed the gas savings. I have a good job and have no problems ,financially, paying at the pump. I am also a voting citizen and have a right to bitch when I disagree with how my money is being spent by the state. I really feel bad for those who travel the turnpike and pay Pennsylvania gas prices PLUS pay tolls, or are gas prices cheaper on the toll road? I haven't benn on it in quite a while to notice.
