I plan on being there by 2 pm.  Park inside the gate, grab a top row seat and wait for the pits to open.  Sort of glad Mercer canceled, otherwise it would have been a coin flip between the two.  Figure on heading out noon at the latest.

Where else but Attica & Lincoln decently close to here??  I believe that Pittsburgh, Hummingbird and Roaring Knob have all pushed their openers back to next Saturday, the 11th, leaving NO "local" races.

JMO but when a track calls it quits over 24 hours prior to start time, there is more involved then just wanting to race...I understand it is a business but come on man...it was colder down in Charlotte so don't use that excuse...

My backyard is dry. It generally lays wet till about May. This cancellation had to be more about temp and lack of expected fan support than rain. Which being the first race of the year would have drawn big fan support I think.  On a lighter note it freed me up to go to the usac show at lawrenceberg which was well worth the drive last night. Heard the attica deal was good too. Same temps as we had last night locally and Lawrenceberg was packed to the rafters.

It's not good business practice to lose money because conventional wisdom tells you that chances are, the fan turn out in that kind of weather for that program will likely be very light but, let's go ahead with the show anyway because there are a handful of fans chirping on social media that we should.

Might as well cancel now for next weekend. Lol. Forecast is hideous unless it changed since last night.

I like to go racing as much as anyone, I drove to Attica last night .
Don't bitch about Mercer, you guys (Team 29 for one ) who comes on here and tells us how dry Mercer is I'm not sure what he was looking at.
I went to the track and parts were still frozen, muddy an a mess parts of the parking lot were unusable.
The driveway going in looked good!
Its a long season give the guys at Mercer a break.
