101......Do you have a website for "every other track that ran" that tells you how many fans they all had??   Some of you guys only think of yourselves!!  "I want to see a race tonight" or "I want to run my car tonight".   You care little or nothing as to whether the track owner makes a profit, which is why he is in business in the first place!!  But let the owner go out of business and close his track, then you will be the first one to bitch!!   And you will also complain that now you have to drive another half-hour or hour to see a race on Saturday night or have a place to run your car.  Come on guys, we are all in this together and the track owners have to make a profit to stay in business and continue to give you a place to run your car or watch races.  While most of the tracks here in Western PA could have raced last night physically, none of them would have made any money. Not Mercer, Pittsburgh, Hummingbird or Roaring Knob!!

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

I was at Winchester Speedway in Virginia last night, it was 56 degrees at start time at 5:30. They had a 3000 to win super and 1500 to win limited late plus 3 support classes and the place was far from packed, stands werent even half full. Keep in mind this is a track that started racing in the middle of March.

I don't think mercer is afraid to race in bad weather. I've been there for the chiller thriller and also at little guys when it's been absolutely miserable cold and wet. They've run before. Of course, the car counts were there, but the crowds were terrible. Maybe they learned their lesson and got tired of losing money. (Unless they make it on the back gate). Either way, I'm not mad at them.

Crusty1, no I did not walk the track....I stopped by to look at the pits and track...I came in on the East side and drove around to the pit entrance... stopped and walked into the pit entrance and chatted with Bill for about 10 minuets...I stated that the track looked good and Bill said it is dry on the surface but is still a little wet under the surface....pits were dry...both agreed that if we don't get a complete wash out should be able to get it in...Bill was more concerned about the cold temps...I am not trying to get into a meaningless pissing contest here, I know we are all ready to get out and work on our racecars or watch some mud fly but are under Mother Natures misery .... Happy Easter to you also...

Interesting to see that most of those who posted in opposition to racing on Easter chose to include Racestud in their holiday observances this past Sunday.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Big difference between spending half the day at the track on Easter or jumping on Racstud for 5 minuets...you do the math...

Spin it any way you want, guy.

I guess some will never get it.  We have how many days to read and post on Racestud, but not on the day our savior has risen.

CRUSTY1, I guess some will never get it...sad....

Not trying to get into a "religious" battle but one day you will be begging to recall that statement...and I DO feel sorry for you for calling Easter a fairy tail holiday...you have your right to express your opinion...we have how many days to get our races in, but not on the day our savior has risen...

I TOTALLY agree with your opinion on Easter, TOTALLY.... I got an ear full from family when I was on computer on Easter... Went to church in morning and had our Easter devotion and prayer before we ate....had a few "down" minuets in between visiting with family members there, and yes I did sneak onto Racestud for about 10 minuets....I don't think I will be "punished" for my actions...I just need to get some racing in before I go crazy...glad to see you are not afraid to stand up for your belief...
