Most other e. Modifieds have sanction names. Lik IMCA. Which are really enjoyable.

Too bad he quit , I sorta wanted him to get caught with that "cheater" motor .....lol. He would really be bitching if they confiscated the motor & gave him $1000 fine !!!

Does anyone remember the days of scott, wearing, gower, chuba,husted and many many more. Remember the days of running a race car didn't take you broke. Crate late models. Everyone thinks yea all the motors are the same, we can save money in this class. lol. After having the motor balanced then blue printed then not to mention the heads, intakes and don't forget tweaking the carb. Guys are spending LOTS of money. I mentioned those names at the start. How was the racing back then ? Pretty dam good. How where the field of cars ? You could race 4 nights a week, north hills, lernerville, smuckers, j-town, motordrome. My only point to all of this is simple. Stick around and watch the sportsman class, they can run that same crate motor, but there suspension points remain somewhat stock. There tires are used, gotta love those crate and late model guys. Cheap tires. And you no the best and worst part of all this. Many times they put on the best show of the night, they get screwed because they get pushed to the last race of the night and let's remember the pay window or lack of it. I wonder what those guys names I mentioned at the top think of these flexible flyers they call race cars. Truck frames, and all. Racers today spend more in tires and motors than those guys spent in there hole cars.

Yes, Chuck told me at the car show they were racing at Lernerville, so that would be a "super" Late, not a crate!!

Forget about the Crate Lates...How many Super Lates are they going to have?? With Baker and Ben Miley retiring....and Ed Ferree only being once in a while and the Legend not making it out till the end of the year???? Lucky to have Ten cars for a weekly show! Not Good! Thats what makes promotors think about scratching the division....or going specials only! I think racing has finally priced itself out....as I predicted to all of you 5 years ago!

Baker did not retire and Ben Miley and Jared built Cate cars & as far as Ed Feree , he only raced a few times last year

Express man .... Ppms has a spec engine option .... And a track surface and other advantages conducive to using one ... So what do you suggest ??? I might put a spec car together because that way I wouldn't have the skip a couple weeks of weekly shows to prepare for big races ...
