buy a crate car and give it a shot!Jon, correct me if I'm wrong but you haven't even been to the track to know what's going on so how useful is that opinion? I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how this season so far is ANY different for Crates as they are still running first? As if those 9, yes 9, SLM made the track bone dry? Time to find another excuse to bash the track.

the track was never bone dry last year, when the supers were there weekly. Now, at feature time, the track is still like it would be for the heats last year. there are not enough cars running to get the track normal before feature time and it is damaging crate motors, 2 to 3 per week.

Read the fan and drivers response on the track conditions for Lernerville the 2nd week, the Knob Lucas show, the Mercer dust bowl then read the comments on Sharon and PPMS when they are smooth fast and tacky. Never said WFO conditions but smooth and fast. You are completely out on an island on this one Jon. It honestly makes you look like you're making excuses not to race there since you've struggled.

that is why they need to limit them to 5500rpm in my opinion. 6700-7000 is more than they need and it kills them. But I guess thats just another problem stacked on top of the rest of the out of hand rules for the crates.the track was never bone dry last year, when the supers were there weekly. While the cars counts are down, the crowd is the same as it was when the Super Lates were there.

Then it was on life support with the Super Lates too. This photo looks like about 150 people in the stands.....

The precipitous decline started with beer sales and flooding the track when Jared got rid of his spec .
Also when they banned carry-in food for a period of time. Piece by piece and gouge by gouge, a viable business has been reduced to 1/10 of its former self.
The Mileys racing there are also bad business that have chased off people. Proven by the 2012 Pittsburgher.

Vince I make more money working by my self on Saturdays than you do all year , that's why I'm not there . I'm not going to give up that income to go do something that annoys the piss out of me. If the track drys out and the flooding of the bottom stops I will race a spec there almost every week. Otherwise I'm totally fine just running a couple times a year at special events

The 2012 Pittsburgher was the Crown jewel of a reputation cemented in many peoples minds . The track has been awesome for many years !
Racing is dying because Freedom is dying ! The extra money that floated around has been collected by the State Pensions with fees ,Taxes and fees on taxes and taxes on fees in goods and services in the background of taxes .. Dum asses even believe Taxes are the lowest they have ever been !
Its the MONEY #1
Lernerville is the exception because of the MAN WHO BUILT IT ! there are thousands of stories of goodness and kindness to Racers from Don Martin almost as many as the opposite from other promoters and tracks!

I know how many people were in the stands, sir, I was one of them. The crowds on regular race nights were not good before, that was my point. They were bad then, but no worse now.
