what needs to be addressed is , if they still charge the same prices, yet dropped the late models, why is the money they are saving on the late model purse not being paid out not going into the crates and stocks? that makes no sense to me. if they could afford to pay it last year at 30 and 15 with little crowds why cant they spread that money around?

For the record Justin .. I frequent your sponsor regularly for my 30 packs ! I also pump you up a bit so I hope they keep sending those checks !
Stacy you hit it on the head as usual ! Pittsburgh should be a slick track like its known for . tacky is way too out of control for sprints especially!
We witnessed a hobby stock on street tires beat Sportsmans with 406's just ringing the tires off in an Old timers race all because of that slick track !
So the slick track definitely takes away the huge advantage of Money!

Was it just me that noticed Jared Mileys car over heating on lap 5.. I have never seen a LEGAL crate motor over heat in 5 laps, has anyone else?
It does when your fan belt comes apart. Which is what he told me happened.

So you're suggesting one of the most successful regional super late model drivers around who has won at your beloved Lernerville 4 times last year, the Knob, PPMS and I believe Dog Hollow decided to build an illegal Crate engine to piss around with at local tracks? Makes total sense! Wow.
Don't forget his wins at Eriez and Little Valley too.....

Miley's crate engine went from the dealership to their racecar, they might of put it on the dyno first.Go read the article in onedirt.com . It explains what some guys are doing and spending on there crate motors. Ridiculous money. All for 10 to 15 more horsepower. As for Miley overheating in 5 laps, they have been running a crate motor for how long ? They have a speed shop, that builds motors. Just added another ? to the crate engine debate. I just wonder how many hours they have in there motors and transferring that cost to the buyer. Probably not so inexpensive anymore.

I agree, the purses needs fattned up some in the remaining divisions if ticketing prices are to remain the same...and not too top heavy.
That would help keep racing viable for teams fielding cars, or considering running there.
Opening night car and fan counts were reported as light, but the Pens are playing (poorly), and it is early, more cars will get completed, and maybe some displaced teams will be drawn to PPMS if the payout increases some.
But the payback has to be warrant the tow.
There is work to be done @ the track, but I'm sure it will get done as time and weather allows.
I'm sure there is alot to do to get things up and running after a very cold winter.
Good to see the speedway open! ........Instead of cancelling because they are not 100% ready.

I"ve read all the posts and have yet to read why the fans don't come I know you all believe its the pay off or the beer and some even think that reading this site on how PMS is badmouthed but something else to consider is the way the family use to do things together whether going to eat ,movie or going to the track. Now each goes there on way and do there on thing whether its playing video games or just doing something else. The family structure is decaying and so goes a lot of things even drive inn movies, how many sit down and eat dinner together. Most racer have a close nit family and do thing together. There more to it than what has ben posted on here, I would enjoy it while its here an if I didn't then I would go somewhere else. If I was looking to make money in racing I would get a good shirnk. Just my opinon

When your dad owns an engine shop and dyno, ect. I'm sure they just arent taking it from the crate to the car. Their in it to win or else they won't be messing around with a crate car to win half of a late model purse. Jared as top notch equipment and can wheel a car, should be winning anytime soon.
