Walt. Yea Herb did race lernerville, not often, but he did. I tried quite a few times to get to north hills to see him run but just never happened. Was his first race at south park speedway in a jalopy ?

500 wins?!?!? Walt, does this make him the all time most wins driver? If not, who beats 500 wins in a career? I'd bet most guys won't have 500 races in a career let alone wins... that sounds like an awful lot to me

Bob Wearing Sr. has 626 career wins.......

Last win was at Dog Hollow Speedway in the Bob Fritz #1 and if I remember correctly Bob Wearing Jr. finished second that night in the Gill #55.

Not hard to believe. Back in the day guys like them were racing 3-4 nights a week and sometimes more.

I don't remember the year but Bob Wearing Sr. won every single race at Lernerville in a season in the late models and add that he is the only driver to win the Hillbilly 100 four years in a row.

And I can't remember how many times he doubled up at Lernerville winning both the late model and mod features.

He didn't get the moniker "Mr Invitational" for nothing.  ;)

1000 wins is 20 wins a year for 50 years , Simmons didn't win more than a couple a year his last 15 years and I don't even think he raced 50 years

629 for wearing is more believable than 1001 for Simmons because wearing was still winning pretty often at the end

I don't know if anyone knows how many Blackie won, but his numbers are up there, too. Same with Lou Blaney. Freddie Smith is credited with 784 victories. That is impressive.

Speaking of the herb Scott did anyone see that body slam that was put on Norris going down the back straight ??? That was straight up WWE shit right there ... theres no reason to violently switch 3 lanes mid straight

Everyone knows Barbra dives to the bottom .... Everyone shouldnt expect to be punted Into the wall half way down the back stretch hard enough to rip the wheels off the car when there was an entire lane clearance when the pass was initiated lol. For some reason the straight aways are the danger zone more than the corners at Pittsburgh ....

It was impressive that he made that work without causing a pileup.

It was good see Davis running well again like he used to when he won the track title.

How about some results?  I will be going to the races tonight at Dubuque (IA) Speedway to watch Late Models, E-mods, Sport Mods, and Street Stocks.  At least the top 5 from last night?
