Money on the table ... That's funny , it costs 3k+ to run a hundred lap race not counting travel , they only way the lose money is if they finished in the top 3.

Unsurprisingly, you completely missed my point and didn't answer my question. I think we can agree that Lanigan, Clanton, and Owens for example, are drivers who can finish in the top 3 any given race anywhere. Its just curious to me why Lanigan for instance runs(or ran) basically only the WoO schedule or Owens for example, only the Lucas.

Who wants an autograph?

I'm sure it had to do with prep and travel time. There's only so many hours in a day and the would rather be more prepared for their series races than take a 1 in 5 shot at making a couple grand

If Keith lost a oil pump, don't you think you better pull the pan and look things over ? Unless he felt er start to tighten up.

Just got in, all in all a good, no enjoyable great night of racing.  I especially enjoyed the crates and second the back and forth for the win in the super late feature.  Sure glad I went.  The legend did fine.  Smart young man, knows he needs seat time per what he's said on here and got some.

As far as the oil pump goes, I thought the super lates ran an external oil pump off a belt.  I didn't know it was in the pan.

... and hey... :)  I was there at the races tonight, it was time well spent and I had fun.

The racing was great tonight, hope it stays that way all weekend. The LM feature was exciting the whole way through.

Track was well-watered and very fast all night.  There were 18 Crates, 15 Late Models, and 12 Sportsman cars.  Joe Podolinsky (56) won the Hobby Stock feature ahead of Jacob Wiser (OU2), and Austin Ostrander (77) won the Young Gun feature over Mark Simmons (68).   Heat races were won by Steve Beatty (4B) and Josh Holtgraver (00) in the Crates, Steve Baker (0) and Mike Pegher Jr. (1C) in the Supers, and Dave McManus (14) and Jake Simmons (68) in the Sportsman class.

Fourteen cars started the Late Model feature, minus Keith Barbara (17) who had oil pump problems in fast laps.  Russ King (56) led the first 17 laps, and after a caution for Jared Miley, Alex Ferree (10) took the top spot, and when it looked like he might stretch his lead out, King came roaring back and made the race into a real barnburner.   King was fast on the inside in one and two, and Alex was fast on the outside in three and four.   They swapped the lead several times in the closing laps, but Alex held on for the win.

1.     Alex Ferree (10)

2.     Russ King (56)

3.     Dan Angelicchio (14)

4.     Jared Miley (H1)

5.     Tim Schaffer (47)

6.     Bill Yohe (13)

7.     Jon Hodgkiss (69)

8.     Brandon Burgoon (02) DNF

9.     Colton Flinner (75) DNF

10.   Mike Pegher Jr. (1C) DNF

11.   Steve Baker (0) DNF

12.   Davey Johnson (1J) DNF

13.   Derek Stefanick (44) DNF

14.   Butch Neubert (14) DNF

In the Crate feature, Daryl Charlier (12) and Josh Holtgraver (00) brought the field to the green flag, with Charlier jumping into the lead.  On the second lap, Holtgraver slowed and bumped the wall in turn two, and Jake Gunn (14) had no where to go and make heavy contact with the #00.  Both cars were done for the night, but Holtgraver is the 2015 Crate champion.   Charlier jumped into the lead on the restart with Jared Miley (in the Schirnhofer 8) and Kyle Lukon (84) in close pursuit.   Eventually, Daryl pulled away a little bit, but the race was on for second place, with Lukon eventually taking the spot.

1.      Daryl Charlier (12)

2.      Kyle Lukon (84)

3.      Jared Miley (8)

4.      Colton Flinner (60)

5.      Steve Beatty (B4)

6.      Ben Policz (14)

7.      Justin Lamb (93)

8.      Paul Jablonski (3)

9.      Mark Moats Jr. (15)

10.    Scott Gunn (7)

There were two big haulers with Texas and Illinois plates which didn't unload at all, and Lindsay Barton (32) from Central PA, who didn't race tonight.  Track was in great shape except for the bump on the front straight.  Cars ran high and low, all over the track.  Hope it's like that for the next two days.

looks like good runs by Russ King and Danny Angelicchio in the Lm's

I think I saw a starting line up some where that had Colton Flinner and Kyle Lukon towards the rear for the start of the crate race----they also have god finishes

was Holtgraver there?

The haulers were Brown and B-shepp.

Marlar and Boggs are headed up, shaping up to be a nice field.

It was some great racing last night, that King and Ferree battle was pretty awesome, as was the close racing between Jared and Daryl in the crates for a few laps.  Congrats to all of the champions this  year also!  Cant wait for this weekend...

Glad to see Brian back at the track also running the grader, hope he gets his medical issues all settled.

PS....Tim I really wish I  had listened to you and stayed home, it sure was a terrible experience in the "desert."  You are spot on with all of your information.
