For free ???? If someone ends up getting seriously injured that would easily constitute gross negligence in court ....

I agree. Who cares if 20 of them show up and line the track. Its all for the better safety. Let them all in free cause chances are they aren't coming otherwise. This also hurts up and coming fan base because no new people are coming to get hooked on racing. Like the schools mentioned. The school band use to work the concession stands bring the kids each week and parents worked for free! He stopped that also. This is a small town everybody knows everybody helps everybody he has it where hardly anyone helps him or supports him. He burnt all bridges in the community. There is four fire departments within a ten mile area and none will come to support him. If you are from a small town you know how little the fire department asks for to help. He should not care if they bring ten people on the rescue team. Who in their right mind would! JUST plain GREED!

So they told the rescue truck only 3 guys could come
For free ???? Yes , that is EXACTLY what happened ....... Those Trucks probably are closer to a Million after they put all the tools on it & some jack ass decided that "he" couldn't afford to let them in the track for free......

Could've. would've. should've is a little to late when someone gets seriously burned or hurt. There is no excuse for a track to not have proper safety for all who attend. Being involved in racing all my life you learn from these type of situations. We keep a fire extingisher in our trailer. Everyone knows where it is and they know how to use it. So what makes it so difficult for the track to invest in some extingishers and train their employees? I also noted there is not alot of employees, which could also make it difficult if something gets out of hand. Why not, if your a racer at that track, try to get a group together to help out the track? Make your own safety crew? If you believe in that track and want to race, lets get together and protect ourselves and the fans? Yes Jon, I can hear you now, why should we? But I say how can we not? If you truly believe in racing we have to help somehow to try and make sure the future of our sport can continue. And this topic of safety is a responsibility of everyone involved. We can let the track close or help out and keep racing?

awhile back we all use to have a fire ext mounted in the car or a system that would help but it was the drivers and car owners that killed hat rule. As for the two fires was it lack of proper maintance or routing a fuel line I understand one was a shock fire where shock broke and oil went on header and the other was a 4cyl fire with std lines and std equipment maybe the tech guys need to go over the cars closer and not let some race.

The property owners themselves may also be putting themselves at risk for not making it mandatory thru the lease that states trained fire personal need to be on site. Especially after 2 cars turn into fireballs.
