Interesting views. What it all comes down to is if Kenseth was championship caliber, he wouldnt have had to block or wreck someone to get there. I wouldve thought Gibbs wasnt like this, but when the chips are down what do you have to lose? I felt what happened with Harvick was worse than what Logano did. If the tables were reversed, I can assure you Kenseth wouldnt think twice about it. Same with Harvick.
Go back to winning the race on the track and eliminate the BS chase and qualifying.

The "Chase" as far as I'm concerned has caused most of the problems, if not all of them...some people might like the chase, most fans do not...NASCAR with their chase system has put the drivers into these positions...now Logano has to win, and I'm sure that he will pull whatever BS that he has to to get it done.

Habs33 you are exactly correct, I am a big NASCAR/asphalt fan, I like the driving, I like the drivers for the most part...but I have said this dozens of times, NASCAR does not listen to what the fans want, they DON'T want the Chase, they don't want all of these 1.5 mile tracks, they want to see racing and competition, not a bunch of cars strung out freight train style...get rid of the chase, add more short tracks...over time you will see your fan base increase...also a help would be to try and talk Chrysler into coming back...and Legend, I agree, and so do most people.

If you even think those two situations are about the same thing then that there would be the problem with racing today.......... (Kansas) was totally deserved..block me once shame on me block me a second time shame on you...(dont be a hypocrite because everyone loved big E for doing the same thing week in and week out)..and the one this past weekend at martinsville was a spoiled bitch move from someone that has no respect for the equipment that he is driving..... and i dont care about either driver but am just saying...

You are in the minority.

This is what Jr. had to say...I have been reading a lot about this and the bulk of the drivers stand behind Kenseth on this.
''I ain't going to argue with what Matt did, Matt felt like he was justified with how Joey wrecked him at Kansas and then was arrogant about it afterward,'' said Dale Earnhardt Jr. ''That was really what got under Matt's skin more than anything, about how Joey was arrogant about it. When you damn wreck a guy, admit it, you know? Don't wreck Matt Kenseth, I'll tell you that right now. Do not wreck that boy.''
Kenseth's peers consider him a fair racer who follows old-school beliefs about on-track etiquette. Logano, the reigning Daytona 500 champion, has struggled with some of his fellow competitors. At just 25 years old and in his seventh full season, Logano has rankled some veterans with a perceived lack of respect to the way things have always been done.

I don't really care if my opinion is in the minority......
I like when racers race hard and I don't think I am in the minority on that.
I also don't like when a slower car blocks from top to bottom of the track but can live with that to a point but when it is OBVIOUS that excessive blocking is occurring (because they are obviously slower) then I feel a bump is validated.....not a full out wreck but a bump.......At Kansas the 22 slightly bumped the 20 and the 20 spun out.....didn't severely wreck him but spun him...
And revenge / payback usually looks obvious v.s. hard racing and looks stupid when it occurs...........I think it was pretty obvious that Martinsville was pure revenge and I don't think I am in the minority on that......apparently a 2 race penalty validates this opinion....
Also back to respect - if you have a problem take it out in the pits after the race.......not on the track where it costs everyone money.......On the track is more for the show?? I sure hope Matt paid for the wrecked 20 car........if I had a driver do that in my equipment that would be the last ride.........
after thinking about it some more maybe everyone has to much money and not enough common sense....

I was actually really suprised by the driver reaction. I mean shocked. They all feel kenseth was in the right. I just dont understand it I guess. Is it a personal issue against Logano? Because Im sorry but there are not a hand full of drivers that would not have dumped kenseth at kansas for blocking lap after lap. I just dont get it.

I get it...and I'm not shocked about it...and I've explained it several times...it boils down to Logano's lack of respect for other racers and his arrogant attitude, he's been like that ever since he came on the scene...you need to put yourself in Kenseth's place...I don't blame him for blocking...he had to win...Logano did not...so if you are Logano knowing you are already advancing do you just race the 20? or do you put him in the wall? He should have raced him, then none of this would have happened...
And, Logano put Kenseth out of the chase, so he put Logano out.
And also come to think of it, most of this stuff is the fault of the chase and drivers that HAVE to win.

I'm not some big fan of Logano. In fact, I'm not a fan of too many of the current crop. I think the majority of them are humorless turds programmed by some p.r. firm to cater to big sponsors, because as Danica has proven, it's more about being able to attract sponsors, less about talent. Having said that I now know that one of the few guys that I would actually take the time to listen to has turned into a colossal jerk.

Racer111, I felt he was racing him. It wasnt till he was was blocked multiple times that contact happened. You have a duty to your team and sponsor to win races. Regardless of whether you are in the chase or not. Your only going to take that for so long as a racer. I do agree, Logano has a complete lack of respect and I would turn him just for breathing but I cant blame him for what he did to Kenseth. That was racing. You make your breaks in racing. Fact is, if Kenseth's car is faster he has a huge lead at Kansas and this is a non issue.

Everybody has their opinion, I feel how I feel, and other people can feel how they feel, I think the majority have the same thought that I do, and it doesn't matter anyway what we think because what we say here isin't going to change anything...
