If I had to guess, the only WoO guy might be Richards. I don't really expect any but he would be the only one that might.

Richards doesn't have it on his schedule surprisingly. He was at the Atomic Lucas show a month ago, figured it'd be the same situation for him.

There are 12 Lucas regulars. I don't know where you'd get "at least 20" from.

Sorry know it all, I will hold my opinion and let you run the board.  I was just going by the current points and the guys that live within three hours or so that run the series when that close to home.

Boom Briggs. He's raced with the outlaws the past few seasons. He's chubs bff. With this latest injury and his injury history I wouldn't be surprised if he stops racing soon

I saw an interview not too long where he said this would prob be his last year with the outlaws due family reasons. He's only running outlaws to help Chub because his crew is short. Plans to run eriez and that area locally when he quits outlaws but prob won't run full time

If this is for me, no. I didn't know he was hurt so there's that. Didn't know Johnsons' s situation or that Blair's car wasn't done. Just stating what I DO know about Boom since someone asked who he was...

Ain't it really easy why?  There racers and race to win.  Pretty tough to give up a chance to be top dog winning in one or the other, to half your chances of winning against more talent and good equipment.  Pay days would also see less in their take home pay if lines were crossed or one or the other was eliminated.  I'd bet some get contingency money slid tax free in drivers back pockets to show up.  If drivers and teams made crossing lines common place, I think it would drastically hurt their wallets.

Since this response made no sense, I'll clarify that I don't understand why mostly all drivers who run one of the series, won't run the other at all during off weekends. While he was running WoO before this year, Lanigan never entered a Lucas event. Chub Frank has a ton of experience at Sharon, which only highlights the question of why this is occuring. There are a very few exceptions, Richards runs plenty of Lucas shows as a WoO regular and Bloomquist chases the money during Lucas off weeks regardless of sanction, but for the most part guys are sticking to one sanctioning body only. I wouldn't go as far to say it's bad for National Late Model racing, but it could be a lot better.

McCreadie has been historically been one to run a sanction, but run the other on off weekends too. I see that continuing, even though he's now a Lucas regular.

 

 

Once the season heats up, one of the reasons there isn't a whole lot of crossover is just time off. Drivers on national tours often use those off weekends to go on vacation with their families, do projects around the house, get some good maintenance on current equipment or get new equipment ready, or just relax. Touring can be a serious grind and everybody needs time to re-charge the batteries.
