McCreadie has been historically been one to run a sanction, but run the other on off weekends too. I see that continuing, even though he's now a Lucas regular.

Once the season heats up, one of the reasons there isn't a whole lot of crossover is just time off. Drivers on national tours often use those off weekends to go on vacation with their families, do projects around the house, get some good maintenance on current equipment or get new equipment ready, or just relax. Touring can be a serious grind and everybody needs time to re-charge the batteries.

Some people have no idea how hard it is to be on a national tour. Sometimes a weekend off is just necessary.

Not to be a debbie downer but sadly this race will lose out to rain. The secondary system is just now forming to the north of Illinois and the last forecast models have it pushing through about 4pm to 7pm tomorrow. How sad. Weather perfect for last couple weeks and boom on the biggest race arguably of the year it rains.

Boom Briggs. He's raced with the outlaws the past few seasons. He's chubs bff. With this latest injury and his injury history I wouldn't be surprised if he stops racing soon

I think Boom is Chub's cousin.

The weather forecast for the afternoon is improving. Looks like the "storm" will hit at 1 and be gone around 5. precip during this time has gone from 90% at the highest to 65%

Will be widespread rain by three. on top of that most "casual fans" have already made up there mind. Best to call it quits I would say but just my opinion of course. I don't have a lot of money on the line tonight. Sad, sad, sad.

That's the part that sucks. Once this front moves through it looks like they're good. It looks to be somewhat heavy but shouldn't last long. The system should be through by race time but I don't know if the track conditions will allow it and I can see them waiting until really close to race time and I don't want to get 3/4 of the way there for them to pull the plug at 5:30. However, it's a Friday and I don't work tomorrow so there's that.

IMHO, if Sharon wanted to pull the plug they would have done it by now.  That's certainly what the series would have wanted - all the series officials and most of the teams are on the road there by now, so they must have some assurance from the track that they will make an honest effort to get the show in.  It's a Friday night, most people don't have to get up early, so I think they'll try to wait it out.  I hope it works out for them, the weather turns around, and they get turnout of both cars and fans.

Well said guys. That's what I was hoping was they would just say screw it and run anyway. Lol. Looking at it now, if it don't blow up any more on the front side of the circulation there may be hope. LOl.

I'm heading there unless there's early notification of a cancellation.

I sure don't mind having a rain check from Lernerville I will be able to use.
