I'm shocked you and Jo aren't up Lernerville tonight watching 12 late models go fast! it's all about the speed remember?! Those 12 cars probably attracted a standing room only crowd too I bet.

Chrome Horn here's a reality check for you.  Super Lates are NOT fast.  Sprints and Big Blocks are the fast stuff.  If "open wheel" Sprints and Big Blocks run first i'm likely to leave before the slower often door banging Super Lates.

Because of the success Miley is having getting around tracks if he's there I would stay just to watch how he is using his car with the track.  Your wrong about fast and what is fast.   Beyond fast for me is enjoying watching anything being used efficiently.  The Josh Richards, it appears now Miley's and obviously Mat Williamson's are and were successful not because they had better equipment, they succeed because they know how to use and do use their equipment better then most they race against.

Chrome Horn, except for luck and racing skill if you would pay attention to what's going on on the track instead of junk like wow did you see that crap, you would learn races are won by the driver who can most efficiently per track conditions get between turn in and the start of acceleration.

Through trial, tribulation, hard knoxs and experience racers learn to race.  Very few racers learn to setup and use what ever their racing in the most efficient way.  I don't care if it's a stock, emod, late, Big Block, non or winged sprint, when you recognize skilled quality use of a race car on the track it's and art form no different then a painting, music or fine sculpture.

Super late models are faster than big blocks by a fairly large margin. They weigh 200 lbs less, have just as much, if not more motor and are immensely more aerodynamic than a big block. You are delusional.

"You are delusional. "   no

incorrect likely per your comment and for the fun of it i'll do a quick search of Lernerville

17.018  Fastest Super Late per my laps last Friday

16.671  Fastest Big Block per my laps last Friday

But the dirt world finals 2017 give credence to what you say

Big Block car 88 Mike Mahaney    15.609

Late model 157- Mike Marlar, 14.385

The Big Blocks were the first feature on the track, the Super Lates ran the third feature (after two 25-lap features for full fields of cars).

Fastest laps in my 7 years scoring at Lernerville:

Russ King (10/25/13) - 14.729...avg speed of 97.766 mph

Mat Williamson (5/2/14) - 15.620...avg speed of 92.190 mph

Clearly, on an equal track surface, Late Models will always be faster than Big Block Mods.

As long as these other tracks like dog Hollow and Thunder Mountain keep having specials on Friday he will be cleaning house every single week unless John flinner takes him out in a heat race.

That's been thunder mountain every week... and no rush to be found. People support tracks that support their fans and drivers. 7 has a very ambitious schedule and the fans have come out in support, they also come out because the amount of people who like to watch emods is huge. I was very surprised at the amount of people that were upset with Eriez for dropping Emods and economods this week. However i think it's awesome they worked with tri city and the elite series on this.

It's all personal taste. Some people go for a specific drivers, class, series, or just because they want to watch racing. Although I do think the rush sprints have that shiny new factor going on so they're going to draw a bit right out of the gate. Personally i will be supporting TM every chance I get because they're taking care of their drivers and have a fantastically diverse schedule. They have been getting great word of mouth reviews in a time when everyone complains about everything.

Lernerville isn't making drivers or fans happy right now. The tire rule, changes to camping, and the track changes. It's my personal opinion that the surface is trash. It's the same surface as sharon and it sucks. Too inconsistent and dominant per condition. It could be good but that requires work and trial. Taking care of that surface is like a 9-5 job and i do not feel that much effort goes into it. I know Sharon digs and packs and digs and packs, no water though and unless theres a cushion the racing is horrid.

I Know Dan at Lernerville works on that track all week. It's just not one of those tracks where you show up at 9 on race day and dump some water and then seal it off.

Well that's good to hear. That surface must just be that tempermental and inconsistent. Sharon works theres all week, minus moisture, and it has to be managed rigorously during a race day.

They ran the Rush sprints last night at Bradford. I believe 13 of them started the feature. Chad Ruhlman won. The redneck racechasers have posted the video on line

It's possible that Lernerville sealed the surface because it's been threatening rain Thursday and Friday every week since they opened. Seal the track, and you can still run if it rains some on raceday, but the track is run out in the heats. Don't seal the track and you have to be right about the weather to run at all.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Yea, that's well said. It's been a big guessing game. This oast weekend was a big step in the right direction. Forecast this week in most of the region is rain tomorrow then sunshine and low to mid 8p's all week. Hopefully helps dry infields and parking lots out and let tracks get proper prep. Saw pics of Eriez yesterdayy and the infield looked like a pond
