I don't know anything about a fire at the Hess shop, however, some 3-4 years back the Hess team sold most everything off and were pretty much out of an active effort in the sport. Then Dave, Jr. got back driving some E-Mods for others up on the S-E circuit and eventually got back into Late Models.  Last year he drove for Terry Suppa, but they went their own way for 2018 and I think the current car is owned and run out of the Hess shop in Waterford.

He drove for suppa for the last 2 years i think but started running his own stuff because with the time ans money they has into suppa's operation it only made sense. I believe Mike Knight has a hand in buying the club29 that Hess is running this year. There was a team deal with those 2 and chub/boom but Knight has only run 3 or 4 times this year. Suppa announced Chad Ruhlman was going to be their driver a month ago but still haven't seen them anywhere with him.

Just out of curiosity ? My fellow camp owners and I in The Allegheny National Forest have been able to catch several of the "certain days' action at the McKean raceway in the last few years. What we noticed in around 7 visits that we were there that on every single time that the group was there and the Blair fellow was there is that he ALWAYS ended up starting on the pole position ! No matter what, he always started on pole? What is up with that ? Am I smelling a rat or is the fix in ?
