Besides seeing many more fans in the stands than a weekly show for the ELM, you have to remember many of these tracks survive on the back gate. So whenever you have 56 cars and probably 4 guys in each crew paying $35 each promotors should take notice. And the tracks arent paying $10K out to win and $400 to start either for maybe 30 SLM either.

Well he obviously has not attended either one. All I can say is try it, you won't be disappointed. Yea there not winding the rpm's up around 8 grand and have the pretty wraps on them. But the racing is some of the best you will see.

Yep, that's exactly the problem. Morons like yourself think that the only racing that matters is Sprints or Late Models. The Ed Laboon race will be better then 80% of the late model races you can see at lernerville. You clowns on here get off watching 12 late models where only 3 can legit win hold it wide open on the cushion and think that is the greatest thing you ever saw.

While you and I disagree much of the time, I am 100% with you on this. Yes, I like the headliners, but i like true competitive racing way more. It's been my biggest problem with the rush empire ruling Lernerville's stock/sportsman division. They used to go 4 wide in the corners with all 4 having a shot at coming out ahead by the time they had to narrow it down to 2, (3 if they trusted each other). Now, you lift you lose, and you have to run where you're geared for, period.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
