Is it me or is this race a cluster you know what every single time it is ran at PMS. If Vince was smart he would move it to another track. I seriously feel bad for him and all the racers and fans who have to go through these Shenanigans every single year for this event.

It's you, most of the other Laboon races have been far from a cluster.  I don't know what you expect the track to do about rain.  Vince is smart, and his Dad loved PPMS, that's why the race is there.  Plus, it's a great track for a big Pro Stock race.

And that's exactly why they should have been the headline division.

I don't know any of the Laboon family. For Vince to give his time, all to honor his dad which I commend him for, to put this race together and organize it with the people from penn/Ohio I'm sure is a tall task.

They bring in a great deal of cars, fans, and most importantly $$$ thru the gates. That back gate draw has no idea what glass of car is coming across the track and how many friends and family members came along with them.

We all no the lucas race brings the biggest crowd. I didn't come up this year, but the crowds I have seen for this race are the second largest draw of the season I would say.

Even if the ELM was run first before the Rush LM, which took 12 minutes with no cautions or victory lane, we would have gotten rain halfway through the race and had even more of a disaster on our hands. The weather, for the 3rd time in 5 years, just wasnt on our side. We tried though. All fastlaps and qualifying was done by 7:20. The 2 Rush heats, ran next to give the guys time to prep for heats, took nearly 30 minutes due to several crashes. We then ran 5 stock heats, 2 hobby stocks, a 4 cyl and young gun feature, 2 b mains, a dash and the Rush LM feature in about an hour and a half. Thats a lot of racing.

Radar said we were good until 1115, then 1030, then we got hit hard at 945. Sometimes stuff just happens.

I grew up at PPMS, my sponsor base is there, and the Mileys have supported this since 2012. To me, it wouldnt be the same anywhere else. Wouldnt have the personal feel. Im sure Id get more cars up north but thats not why I do it.

They were the headline division, which rarely goes first at any track.  When the Red Miley and Herb Scott races were Super Late Model races, the Pro Late Models always ran the first feature.  Promoters don't control the rain, and as Vince said, the rain was not supposed to come until later.  Don't know why you guys gotta beat a dead horse.

I beat it because this is grass roots racing. Guys coming into the sport are not buying a slm. They need to start somewhere. I feel promotors don't put effort into affordable racing, and if they don't guess what, it's going to die.

Flash, you say stop beating a dead horse. I'm going to ask you something. 3 and 4 yrs ago how was racing in western pa and lernerville ? Where is it today ? Half the guys in the mods and sprint cars are not young racers.

I'm old now. I'm retired now. I'm a fan of dirt track racing and you know what I miss it. Somebody better come up with a way to save it or more tracks will be locking the gates for good.

When I talk racing with friends we all pretty much say the same thing. The older generation is tired and I hate to say we have health issues to deal with. The owners have to start reaching out to the younger generation and promote their track instead of relying on their reputation. The days of full fields on a regular night are down but not out it can be fixed only if they want to work with it and at least try. Like I said before I can"t go any longer and I"m grateful to say I lived my dream putting in all the years man it was a lot of fun. Flash keep posting the results.

The rugged individual.....
The chance to fail ......
Nothing ventured nothing gained
You only live once
You can’t succeed without tryin

Those are American staples that built America and PRODUCED Racing
You farts are willing to let it all crash with The sodomites managing the fall and just taking it as it goes ...... and BLAMING it ALL on the only people who care to keep it going !!!

For you D
I never met a person with more passion for racing ! and you did just that .... Dam the torpedoes to get out on the track and you saw that in me and a few others like Daryl
That spirit has been sodomised in this country BUT there is a chance ! but only because of July 4 1776 and November 8 2016 ! You can bet your whole life on that ! So for your granddaughter and grandsons and nieces and nephews .. there are people out of focus of the Boobtube that still give a shit !!
Racing is the Ultimate display of Capitalism and this country is the ONLY one on the planet Built Around it !
