You know, it's more than they way you paint it. Racing season, (real racing season, not the France family's WWE on wheels), is human interaction, and some of us need that. Human interaction is not a luxury it is how we are designed. I know people whose mental health is already at risk over this, because they really are that social. It is real and necessary for them. 
 
The other very real concern here, is that we are accepting the complete surrender of our constitution and now that have done it once, we can be persuaded to do it any time.

People locked out of working .. up to this minute the United States government/ Trump administration has not issued anything but recommendations on how to not spread .. These Governors and Mayors are shutting down businesses and putting people out of work with their new found powers of protecting people .

2009-2010... just in America ..60 million people with Black Death2 ... 18000 dead ... no news and no panic ... no schools closed and learning stopped ..liqueur stores open ....

Those numbers came from one article and a 16 month time frame
Other stories and the CDC had different numbers based on a 12 month period .. so it depends what you read
Either way it was barely mentioned in 2010 ..

Actually according to wiki his numbers aren't far off. He is correct in that swine flu was the rage and poof everyone quit talking about it but it was still active even today. We lived thru the sars outbreak and this is a variation of sars. Sometimes it takes the crazy guy to get people to educate themselves not just watch ratings driven news media outlets

United States Coronavirus cases as of today 241000 thats 241 Thousand.
So we only have 59 million 750 thousand to go to eclipse 2010.

These numbers are just a comparison of Worldwide Pandemics while racing is shut down from a worldwide Pandemic for the first time in history
Hot rod most numbers came from CDC but they use big ranges .. my numbers were more from a former Government official that wrote a book about not being prepared for the next big pandemic after Black Death 2 in 2009-2010 .. She doesnt call it Black Death 2 .. I do ... BLACK DEATH 2 of April 2009 to September 2010

Governor said all non-essential businesses are to shut down!!!    We love racing but such is not essential to life!!!

Working is non essential to life for this governor in Pa. too ! However construction is essential to life in Ohio and the gas is 1 dollar cheeper ... there may be some people moving across the border after discovering how different life is 25 miles west of PPMS !
