You got about 2% of the story correct.. goes to show ya ... got out of there as fast as I could... now thats a good one ... tell me more of what did not happen.. as you been hiding behind of your computer for about 20 years!!
I saw the video some girl from a race team was recording of the race. Looks like you and another person (may be your girl) came flying down to the 72's pit on a quad and started running your mouth. You got off it still yelling at the 72's crew, then all of a sudden about 20 people surrounded you and you ran to get back on your quad and left.

So youre saying Scott Gunn and Paul Durass are overweight ? I dont know last time you checked Rocky but you are a fat boy yourself.
Hey Neal didnt you race against this boy back in your hay days?

Rocky, I'm sorry you're getting jumped on here. I don't care what happened, the personal attacks aimed at your family life are WAY out of bounds. I don't know you, and I don't know any of these keyboard commandos, but the personal attacks at that level are uncalled for.
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

On a related side note, I remember the days when shouting matches were no big deal at all. It's a big open area full of highly competitive people, and sometimes mouths run, even among friends. Then you walk away, and come back later and laugh about it. But I guess it's supposed to be a kinder, gentler kind of competitive sport now.
Some people you just can't laugh with later, and I'm not saying it's always unicorns and sunshine.

getting on the car count on opening night is alittle on the harsh side. Alot of cars are not done. Parts this year back ordered hard to get just a messed up year. Would have been one more pro stock but broke something dumb. I personally enjoy racing our pro stock at ppms. Really is not a track in the area like it far as speed goes. No fan wants to watch crate racing. Alot of drivers i talk to are scared of that place. Penn ohio has put the same rule package out so basically I can go race anywhere in the area on any given race night and as a racer that is what we want.

Good post dirtracer. I'm in total agreement with you on the penn ohio rules at surrounding tracks. I am going to ask. What does a guy such as yourself have infested in your car. Just ballpark, In reality it's not my business. I see the money these guys are putting into crate cars and it's just craziness, especially when you look at what the pay back is. Have a good season.
Other than the Penn Ohio Series, the payback of the Pro Stock, Sportsmen, Street Stocks, whatever you want to call them, is pretty awful too.

Correct. I'm sure you can see that Jo just has to find a way to throw out the crate hate in all of his posts.

Any fan who appreciates racing would rather watch 20 rush late models vs 7 pro stocks other then the geniuses on this board.

I would have to gree with you on a lot of classes the payout is awful. I seriously don't think if you're out of the top 2 positions you can even break even

And some of us geniuses would rather see 7 cars go 3 wide for 20 laps than a 20 car follow the leader freight train, so for some of us it depends on which of those is racier.
Having said that, crate lates can put on a good race.

When Kevin Schaeffer, (I may have spelled it wrong), was still racing, they did the math and figured they'd have to win every race to break even. Local racing is an expensive hobby.

Thumbs up to this post Jim, You are spot on if the topic is Racing!!! But there is a lot that goes with it. The more money you pay the more the big money cars are gonna want to start upfront via qualifying and that is a part of the problem. But not all crate races are sleepers. I've seen some good ones at PPMS. And like it or not the crate pro stock class at L'ville was very competitive but they never lined them up fastest in front. Format and track prep are the key. As a promoter, If you are gonna bow down to sanctioning bodies to get big names and larger car counts the racing will suffer(sometimes). Maybe we're just old school Jim, in our definition of Racing.

But for under 15 cars the pay at every track is about $300, I believe PPMS pays $500 for 24 or more cars which they never get close to on a regular night.

Correct sir. Less than 16 its $300. 16-23 is $400. 24 and up is $500. To Flashs point I really dont know how Latrobe pays $500 to win for single digit cars on most occasions but you gotta admire that.
