In Topic: Is the old Gamblers/AMP track opening?

At first I was glad to hear that the old Gamblers track was opening. I looked at the results page to see the car counts at Hummingbird last year. They were like 8-10 purestock 12-14 street 4 cyl and supers. Semi Late had like 15-18 on average.
Dived those by two tracks and you’ll have two crappy shows. Thunder Mountain will probably make out as they’ll be only track with decent car counts. Hope I’m wrong but IMO I don’t think area has enough cars and fans to support Hummingbird Marion Center, Dog Hollow and Gamblers

I think the days of all these tracks running are over. Just aren’t the cars or fan interest to support them all.

Running same classes as the Bird is a bad decision. Streets and Pures only had like 8-10 cars total. Thunder Mountain gave Pure stocks a shot and the only got a few and they had a good purse.

Think the area can support another track? Maybe if they run different classes or run Sunday. Still, not that many fans up this way. Good luck!

I heard the Street Stocks had so much trouble getti n a lap in that that pulled them all in the infield and have them a time out while the supers ran. Then later stoped their race early. That is what I heard.
