#444017 Just so Sprint racers know extra cost at Mercer Saturday

Posted by SRT93 on 13 July 2019 - 10:00 AM

In case you didn't know it Mercer will charge you $50 registration fee to come in the back gate Saturday.

If you compare tonight's pay-out to the typical 410 pay-out in the area, I'm sure most drivers wouldn't mind paying the extra $50 more often.

Sharon is off this weekend, Outlaws are in Wisconsin, and the All Stars are in eastern New York. The NRA Sprint Invaders are off this weekend so you might see some of them come in to prepare for the 360 show in August. Plus the advertised purse for the top 10 is twice as much as two of the 410 tracks in Ohio are paying tonight. So instead of trying to hurt the track's car count, load up your truck and bring a group out to watch some dirt track racing.

First it's pay to register and combined pay for all book keeping expenses through out the year, to put on the show for them.  Now it's pay for tech and pay for the tech inspector + through out the year.

What's next?  Buy a membership to be allowed to purchase in the concessions and then how about the annual $1 fee fans have to pay for insurance and to be allowed to buy tickets.  OH! almost forgot the annual go get it charge if you want to purchase fuel at the track, to cover the expense of having someone sell fuel to you.  How about the new cubic inch and horse power charge.  That the extra charge to race, set on engine output.  Bigger engines tear up the track more and cause more expense fixing the track, so the higher hp you run the higher it costs to race.  I heard one track owner saying how there fed up with all the dust sprint cars, big blocks and supers make, so there going to charge them an air quality fee.

Why do you even post here? 9 out of 10 times nobody gives a shit about your posts. And here you're just being a douchebag.

#401230 Sportsman's to give Sweeney RUSH Sportsman Mods a Sunday night home in...

Posted by SRT93 on 23 November 2014 - 07:00 PM

No sh*% Nick D. But they are advertising it as knox 358s are eligible to run with the rush mods. And those of us that have run there where lead to believe we would be eligible. Then after the contract is signed we re told oh by the way. The only way your eligible is to buy all the stuff and change your car. So if you don't know the background to it you should probably stay out of it

I think you guys are misunderstanding how it is advertised. Since they announced this series there has been an eligibility rule that says any driver that has competed in a headline division (including 358s) and has finished in the top 5 in points or has won in the past 2 years is not eligibility to run RUSH sanctioned races. But since Sportsman's dropped the 358s they're allowing those drivers to make the decision to run Mercer or make their car RUSH legal and run Sportsmans.

#397041 Hummingbird Speedway 2014 Track Champions and Top Five

The way it was explained made sense, but in this case (especially since point leaders were affected) it caused some outcry. On a complete restart, if the cars in your line are involved, the line moves up. So if say positions 1,3,5 go to the pits but 2,4,6 stay out, 7th moves up to 1st for the restart. The guy next to him in 8th remains in 8th. It's rare to be that drastic but it's the way it is and has been at most tracks.

Thanks for explaining that. Hummingbird is the first track I've been to that has done that. Any where else I've been everybody moves up. I'm in no way associated with any of the cars at Hummingbird, I just felt the 37 car got screwed on the deal being he was only 5 points out of 1st.
