Remember the first time I saw him race was at Butler Speedway in the black and gold # 7 Dick Neely Jolly Cholly Chevy. When those orange flames shot out those long tailpipes, I knew I was a sprint car fan. He was also the first driver I ever bought a photo of and still have it. Only ever gave names to two of my street vehicles, and the first was " Dale ". He was a gentleman on and off the track. May he rest in peace.
Speed Buggy wins this feature. He was correct in use of you are dumb. Then 94.3 Radracer came along and used the second person possessive adjective your when he should have been using you're, the contraction for you are. Counts as two spins so Radracer is scored as DNF.
Always liked the original Racesaver idea. Winner receives no more than twice the to start amount. $125 to start pays $250 to win. $500 to win means $250 to start. The winner is still the winner. He has the biggest smile. But the person who had to buy the same motor, the same tires, the same shocks and the same fuel smiles more at $250 than at $125.
Ralph Quarterson should have been inducted years ago.
Do you mean the super modified at Sharon Speedway in 1960? Or maybe the modified champ at Butler Speedway in 1960. Perhaps you mean the Lernerville sprint car champion in 1968, 1969 and 1971? He had 47 sprint car wins at Lernerville. And the Lernerville coupe division champ in 1971. Or the ASCoC champion in 1970. You could also be referring to the gentleman who won the Western PA. Sprint Championship at Mercer Raceway in 1966, 1967,1968,1969 and 1979. Second in sprint car points at Mercer in 1971. He was also the Blanket Hill supermodified champ in 1968 or 1969.
Remember when it was the early seventies and it was dirt and those beautiful sprint cars were there driven by all your favorite drivers plus others you had heard about and you had to pinch yourself to make sure you were still alive. And now you're in your early seventies and you realize just how good you had it. Hard to put into words.
Piss pour business family ! Worried more about how much can we make , not about what can we do for the fans , car owners , drivers . Will not/have never spent money to make money. Tony Stewart was impressed with his first impression of the facilty LMFAO ! Invest some money , charge less , draw more competitors and fans . Matt , Ben , Ty did you spend some time talking to Tony wouldn't have cost you a dime to learn from a real business man ! Jared didn't think it was worth showing up, probably has to give back a percentage of his winnings. Crown Jewel facility go to shit need to ask the legend to be the promoter or Stagerwald
Hey. I didn't say anything about an extra hundred dollars. Just gave the Lernerville results. Yes, the Goodyear deal was a s----- deal. But not for Goodyear and not for Lernerville. That must mean that the Hoosier deal was not s----- for Hoosier and not s----- for Lernerville.
Is it possible that this year's ASCoC point fund will be paid before last year's point fund? Putting that aside. The important thing this weekend is to go to Mercer to support Mr. Altman and the local sprint car drivers. Two divisions of sprint cars every week. The top sprint car track in western PA and eastern Ohio. And combined with the other divisions make it a great show every week even with the dust.
