#420374 FASTRAK Crate Late Models only 1 with all GM parts??????

Posted by LM63 on 23 March 2016 - 04:48 PM

If your motor has Nesmith seals you can find out who rebuilt it and ask what bearings or rings it has in it. Rush uses Nesmith seals and rules for 604 rebuilds

#418137 Why so much effort to make the fast stuff slower?

Well for one faster costs more. Another would be faster doesn't mean better racing on the track either!

#411925 Car counts

I learned a long time ago that even trying to make a point on this board about CLM's is pointless. A certian group of you don't like crates period and another few can't stand Vicki. Whatever.

One thing that cannot be disputed is that I and a whole lot of other people i know who race crate lates wouldn't be racing at all if it wasn't for the division period. I have raced crate lates for 10 yrs now and have had all of three engines. The first two 602's were never touched and are probably still running in someones car at DIS. My 604 was freshened and blueprinted after the first year but since has had a leak down test done and was told to run it another year. So on the 604 alone I have 8500 in it. 3 yrs on it. Thats 2800 and change per year plus the cost of valve springs each year. Total I have around 15,000 in motors for 10 yrs running crate lates. You do the math..... I'm not sure what type of steel blocks are running up yalls way but down this way the guys running up front have 20,000 dollar plus engines in there cars and they need rebult all the time just like the SLM's do.

#405883 Results from Dog Hollow?

I don't need to explain anything to you. Your just an ??? who trolls this board with dumb ass comments. I don't need to hear how successful your company is either. I'm an electrical contractor who does just fine for myself but you know what BFD!  Means zip on here.

You take every opportunity to bash Rush and crate racing in general. That's fine. It's a free country. Your entitled to your opinions but when you continually post the same crap it makes you look foolish and diminishes any valid points you may have.

As far as Dog Hollow goes most crate guys don't want a bunch of tires to pick from. It just cost more money. On top of that with no sanction there is zero chance of any real tech and no consequences for cheating.

#402200 CARS or RUSH series

Posted by LM63 on 31 December 2014 - 09:23 PM

The Racers and Teams pay their own points funds through buying "spec" tires, membership fees, and various other series "fees".

No crap.... Do you think there gonna sell you the tires any cheaper than 150 if they weren't a mandated spec tire? F no!

I ran DIS for years ( Delaware ) and we had to run chain link ARs 44, 48. They gouge you there to the tune of 170 a piece.

Guess Rush or any other series should just do what they do for the "love" of the sport... Bunch of idiots most of ya. Easy to see why racing is dying period. Making my decision to walk away real soon much easier.

#402190 CARS or RUSH series

You guys kill me but there is no sense arguing it on here. Just the same ole same ole.... Legend is right though, while I don't share his views on Stan, RUSH, and the hard tires he's spot on about how many compounds or manufacturers we need. ONE!  As I've said before I have no allegiance to any tire but where do yall that promote this AR deal think a large chunk of the money for the Nesmith, Rush, and Fastrak point funds come from?????

#401445 Lias Tire AND American Racer announce the creation of the CARS (Crate America...

Posted by LM63 on 01 December 2014 - 02:26 PM

Jon, any touring race I've ever been to paid back in tow money whatever you paid as an entry fee. On top of that to start money was two to three times whatever your entry fee was. Just saying.... And you don't have to be a member to race at a Rush tour race. Not sure about Fastrak. You didn't used to have to I don't think.  And for the little bit of money you spend to join Rush it's worth it just to have the extra medical insurance. Again just sayin...... People always think they're getting ripped off or shafted somehow.

#390367 RUSH post-race complete teardown from 5/18 at Roaring Knob DSQ Kowatic while...

Hats off to the RUSH series for taking these steps. It's a pain in the butt and costs money but the integrity of the crate concept is at stake. It's also another reason to only run a sanctioned crate track!!
