#452595 SRX at Sharon

Posted by sawdust on 25 July 2022 - 11:35 AM

Went to the SRX show at Sharon on Saturday, was a little disappointed.  I thought they would put on a better show.  I understand that 3000 pound cars on a slick track results in slow cars, but 22 second laps on a 3/8 mile track?!  And these are professionals.  Maybe I was expecting a bit more excitement.  There was a lot of close racing and there was some bumping and rubbing and a couple slide jobs, but I don't think I'll go again if they are in the area next year.  Maybe I'm just spoiled with sprint cars and super late models.  Thoughts?

I was just informed that the Steel City Outlaw is back with the Rudzik Excavating #49x and will be slinging dirt soon!!  He will be teamed with the #28 Bryan Groves car.  Can't wait to see this awesome team together again!

#425659 Tony Stewart to be back in a sprint car in 2017

There is no set number of races scheduled for Tony Stewart's 2017 tour, but race fans can count on seeing him plenty.  He and crew chief Jimmy Carr sat down and talked about what equipment they'll need and how many races they plan on attending.  Tony wants to run some 360 stuff but Jimmy isn't too keen on the idea. "We'll see if I get my way on that or not, but we haven't had much luck on the 360 side." Tony said.
