#430730 Gregg SATTERLEE @ Eldora

Posted by Ring Gear on 08 June 2017 - 08:28 PM

Gregg was 2nd fastest in qualifying for tonites program.  He missed hot  laps because of faulty ignition.

Casey Roberts was fastest.  79 cars took time.

Starts 9th in feature ...

#429054 RIP Nestor Peles

Nestor bought that Mercury Cyclone brand new from the old Evergreen Motors in Indiana.

Took it home and turned it  into a Race Car.  Pretty crazy.  I to remember Nestor and his Cyclone at

Marion Center.  If I remember right, that car came with the 427.  Those were the days.

RIP Nestor Peles

#412475 Satterlee @ the Pittsburgher

Good job by Satterlee after making it in thru a Consi.   According to Dirt on Dirt starting 20th and making it as high as 6th and on the move before clubbing the wall on lap 47 ..

Another good job by one of our Western Pa favorites.

The same being said about the " Legend " for being bold enough among all the criticism that he takes on here about his abilities etc. to still make a few shows a year.

To all of the " Key Board " Ding Dong race car drivers on here who are the first to bash him, take a look at yourself and see who has the most going for themselves.  I believe you will find it will be Jon Hodgkiss a.k.a. " The Legend ".

Tell them to go suck an egg Jon and keep enjoying ... Good Job ...

#409890 Gregg Satterlee @ Silver Dollar Nationals

A nice top 5 finish for Gregg.  I thought he had 3rd wrapped up, but had to settle for 4th in the closing laps.

The best run of the year IMHO.  Any time you can bring home a top 5 in a Lucas race you have had a good night..

Gregg pulled off an 8th place finish at the World 100.

Great job by Gregg and the 22 team.

What chassis does jackie boggs run?

Jackie has been in a Swartz car and has been doing well with it.
Especially at Portsmouth,OH.

He skipped the Thursday portion of the World and I have not seen his
results for last night and I would imagine he is still in one of Audie's
cars.

Since Jackie is a pretty big guy I would venture to say he is in a Swartz
Xtreme w/ the raised cage, wider window opening etc.

I don't know if this had any bearing on his decision to run a Swartz or
not.

I don't know what brand chassis he has been running when he goes Modified rracing.

Just checked - 13th fastest overall, 120 cars. Starts 4th in 1st heat.

#393370 Satterlee Wins Last Lap Thriller at Dog Hollow

Posted by Ring Gear on 05 July 2014 - 08:47 AM

Won11Virus   If you think beating the likes of Dan Stone, Jason Covert etc. is Cherry Pickin then you must have limited knowledge of dirt Late Model Racing.

Both Stone and Covert are top running "Regional" racers who have beat Gregg Satterlee to the checkered flag in the past.

Both of these guys could be running a National Touring series if the funding was there.

Was Satterlee in his own car [22] ?   I do know that he drove the Force car [31] in the past at DH.

#390958 Dan Angelicchio Upsets Field to Win Shawn “Sheetz” McGarvey Memorial at Dog H...

I did not see anywhere where someone was upset because Chub did not win.

What I did see were a few posts concerning Chub's slump the last few years and maybe a little curious as to why.

By no means did anyone forget why they were there.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shaun a few years back [ work related ] and he was one funny man.  The world was a better place with him in it for sure.

I could be wrong and correct me if I am, but I seen some where that Chub and Boom are sponsered by Horton Equipment and also sponsered Shaun some and they wanted them to make this race.  No show money..

If I am not quite sure about my facts I  try to let it be known.

I must have hit a nerve with this bezerk kid  that he got his or her diaper in a wad..
