If you want points we can post points. Mrs. Shobe will gitter done. The track has a phone 419 568 3201. If you have questions and want a straight up answer call. Criticizing accusations quickly tear done what takes a long time to build. greg

Thanks Greg like ogre said Greg is a decent person him and his family. Like Greg said there is his phone number got a question ask him.. i have never heard Greg give someone a half cocked answer. Its not up to Skinny kenny to do all the asking. If i have a question i email tami. She has never failed to give me a responce.

Thanks Greg. Some of us really do appreciate the track and all the hard work it takes to keep it going.

Someone is telling a lil less than the truth???? I have the email from Tami Shobe Where I sent the track an email about points and the reply was that they were not keeping them. I have thanked Greg personally every year I've raced for opening the track. I appreciate it, I respect the amount of work he is doing on all fronts, But NO CALLS ME A LIAR.. I don't lie and don't like poeple who do. I will happily forward my email responce from the track to any one interested. I contacted the track on several things this year, the first item they told me they would address at the 1st race and have yet to do so. Now the 2nd points) their acting like no one brought up??? confusaled??

;) well Goober I for one believe you,Ive seen a simular email that was forwarded to me.Ive found that
people seem to change their opinions when confronted.Ogre for example! Goober has always been honest
and blunt but yet keeps a smile! The trucks are very lucky to have a good track to call home,Shobe has
a large mess on his hands with peoples expectations! But the truck count never seems to be down and one
would think that the truck class pretty much pay for them selves.Lets face it... you cant ever make everybody happy
but ALL classes need sponsorships! Its hard to sell yourself when you have nothing to show your progress.I for one would
think WMP could be on the map in a big way.I just hope the decisions that are being made on each end are made with
a clear head! The cost of living has hurt alot of tracks and drivers.I think if all people involved work together and be honest
this and most situations can be resolved keeping in mind that you cant please everyone!

You know, I agree with all you that there should be a points listing even if they are not paying any point money, but lets not forget that if we stir the pot enough that the people that make the final decisions might just say the heck with these guys in the truck class we just wont run them next year and then we all have alot of scrap metal sitting around that we cant sell to anyone. Now I know I have not been out this year except for the one night but I have still came out and supported the track every week and I will continue to do so except for a couple of nights that I have plans with the family, and even then I am going to try to get out after that. My suggestion would be, enjoy having a track that runs an economy class that alot of people can afford and just hope that we still have a place to run next year., Just mt 1 1/2 cents worth.. Roger

Goober I just read all the post on this subject and I can't seem to find anywhere that someone called you a liar. You sure your hair didn't get in your eyes !!!!!! Lets see, we've got a Greg said and a Tami said .... hmm the Shobes are just like the rest of us married folks, we don't communicate with each other. Maybe they decided to track the points because that's what we wanted, now someone is cranky about that. So if the weatherman will cooperate there is an easy fix to this... SHUT UP AND RACE....

I would think that your sponsors wouldnt say much about where you finished at the end of the year, but would rather see you win and mention their name win you win and get a interview. i would have to say that there are a lot more racers in other class,s that have more in their cars than what the trucks do. But like roger said it is nice that you are having a nice place to race. it doesnt matter how much you have in your racer but how you are treated. its just my opinion that greg is just trying to give every one a place to race. I would have to say that MAYBE they didnt have any intentions to keep points , because they are proably in the red every week. But since some wanted points kept that they decided to do so because thats what some wanted. Greg and Tami are christian people and thats how they would like to be treated. I dont think they would call any one a liar that shouldnt be mentioned on here. Like Greg said he posted his phone number and thats where it should be discussed. greg could very well just pull the plug on the truck class, or even on the track. When you get drivers who are not showing up at a usac show and show up at wmp. I would have to say that they are getting some respect from some. But getting on here and trashing Greg and Tami is not good P.R. i dont think any one would say any thing bad about the racing surface. Ive heard that some one might be taking a lease out on the track next year and if they are hearing this kind of stuff from some he might just pull the plug on that class. I hope it doesnt happen. because the trucks are providing some good racing and a low budget class for some. I would hate to see it end on a bad note. i dont have any thing in this at all but have seen a lot a people being treated worse than this thru the years and a lot worse places to call a race track, So just enjoy what you have in your back yards.

Man o' Man we need to move on. Sutter you said you E-mailed the track and they said there were no points this year. So why do you think its there job to keep them. Points racing sucks been there done that NO FUN. My goal is to get better each week, and have fun, not worry about that I need to finish in so and so position to stay in the points. Most sponsors really don't care where you are in points at the local tracks. Most sponsors are looking for tax deductions, and in todays economy its hard to find a business that needs deductions most are trying to keep their heads above water. In the truck class I'll bet 75% of the sponsors are friends of the owner or driver and thats how they got a sponsorship in the first place. Besides that no point payout this year so what does it matter. Lets go race.!!!!!!!! I also would like to THANK the Shobes for all their HARD work.

Never have swayed and never will!! My opinion is that Greg is doing a great job and put a ton of effort in the track along with everyone that has helped him along the way. As for the truck class itself.....I agree with Don (Racer50) just enjoy what you have or get out like I did. Someday the passion might return and that will be that day that I race again but for now it's time for me to be a family man. My heart will ALWAYS be in racign and that's why I keep up on the topics here. I've never been short of an opinion right or wrong and yes I've been wrong only because I listen to what others say and if they bring up a good point I'll stand corrected........not something that many people will do.

When I hear back from the track with the system they use I will post it. I have sent them an e-mail and see if they will send me the formula.
