You guys dont care to listen why the man wont come back, you just want to go on and on about telling him how hes wrong and once again the "If you dont like it, find something else" attitude comes up. It amazes me how you guys dont care about why hes mad but you have to post 5 times in the thread commenting on him!I don't think anyone really cares why you are mad at Dean get over it 410 non wing sprints lot better show Try it you might like them

It was maybe a little funny the first time but nahhhSure tried of you tool. This is all about fun in this class. Maybe you could come and talk to me sometime and see my personality. Fun is what Gabe and I do. If you want to take it as cocky, sorry. You don't know me. Many people love the goofing off in the circle, never thought I would have to come up with so many new dances to tryout, the kids love it.

wow i didnt know there was a 39 truck. he musta been a new one. too bad they cancelled, maybe he could get a top 3.Well then witness 23 you and I must be neighbors then because I too live about 3 miles from the track. I can assure you that it rained well past 11 at the track. Afternoon rain might not have been strong but it was a steady drizzle.....if you don't believe me ask Keeler, the 39 truck and the 6p truck as they were leaving the track at around that time after camping out all night. I just drove past the track again and everything was locked up but the kart track was really wet and soggy and it's normally very dry and hard.
Yes the sun is out now and whether it was an early call or not it was a call that our promoter made and we should support that. Everyone will never be pleased 100% of the time but he sure makes a great effort to. I'm sure that once things turn around in the economy we'll see 360's, stocks and possibly other shows added.....just give it a year.....we're not giving up!

No that's not it at all. "slidejobmaster" is a one poster and is hiding under a screen name just to take pop shots and that's not going to advance anyone. We've (WRP) tried all routes to make people happy and we just hope that the true racers understand. It's not about the low car count last night, it's not about kneejerk reactions, it's not about who's the track spokesperson or it's not about mending fences. What we try to offer is a fair and bargain racing facility that gets people home early when they show up and to have seen a good show. Sure there are bumps in the road and there will continue to be bumps.
All I ask is that people understand that at some point a decision has to be made and it was Dean's decision that we wouldn't have enought time to get the track dialed in for a safe and pleasurable racing event for the drivers or fans. Besides that it's now 12:55 PM and it's still raining here. That's at least 3 straight hours of steady rain in Waynesfield.
In no way am I saying that we wouldn't like to have slidejobmaster at the track, all I'm saying is please don't make unjustified comments to a race promoter that works his tail off trying ot make you happy. He needs to think about more than just the racers being able to get on the track and turn laps......there's safety, media, long distance racers, fans, equipment, time, advertisers and weather. Tonight we're still not out of the woods for pop up thundershowers. I appreciate your love for racing Roger but I'm sure you understand the amount of work to prepare a track and it doesn't happen in a couple of hours like Nascar deos drying the track off. Generally we start prepping the track at 6:00am on raceday and it takes riught up until hot laps.......and that's if we had pre-prepped it earlier in the week. Now you throw in the fact that we raced last night and then need to start from scratch......just not enough time since we lost the 3 hours pluss due to rain.
It's the only call......... We'llk have more races and they will be very exciting! We have plans on running well into September so please keep supporting us and we'll do our best to please everyone!
Dan: This is a better post from you.
Keep in mind, if the poster gets to telling stories to their friends, they will surely include 'Yeah, and that guy that works the pit gate at WRP told me -blah blah blah-'. You can doubt me all you want, however, you are a rep for the track (even if unofficial) so explaining the situation, and being respectful, is a far better option that insulting the poster, and possibly several other people.
WRP, it's workers, and 'speakers' need to display professionalism at all times.
witness 23: I don't know if you are strictly stirring the pot, or are seriously confused.
It doesn't matter if you live across the road from the track, or 2 hours away.....if the track is flooded, then the track is flooded... If you think everybody is BSing you, why didn't you take a short drive and see for yourself.
I have been to WRP MANY times this year. On one of the nights the 360 winged sprints were there, and one of the nights the non-wing cars were there, it was barely dusty. One night the track was a little rough. However those times wasn't worth mentioning, because it was minimal, and the track crew did work on it all night.......unlike other tracks that make no attempt to correct the situation.
The rest of the nights have been darn near perfect. I personally thanked Dean for a great track, and a great night of racing, after one of the nights when he came out of the press box, and down the steps as we were leaving.
Everybody has the right to their opinion.
Some are justified, some are a little strange, and some seem like the poster has been drinking pretty heavily before getting on the internet..........
I was pretty disappointed that WRP got rained out this week. I was going to be bringing two of my lifelong friends, and their family's (they were going to be following me to the track). The youngsters were really excited about going, and I'm sure everybody would have had a great time.
We are going to try again in a couple of weeks, and possibly bring along another family or two.

However, the same principal hold true. You 'work' at WRP, so in a way, you are a representative of the track.
I understand that you like what you do, and human nature is to defend what you like.............
But, doing it blindly, or insulting people when you are doing it, is wrong.
In my thread on the Limaland board, I made comments that pertained to the sprint feature. I wondered why the person operating the water truck, only watered what was essentially the wall, and I also made comments about what I believed to be an excessive amount of dust in the stands after the sprint feature, due to not watering the top 1/2 of the race track.... Those comments were based on MY personal beliefs and observations. Such as: the amount of dust/dirt that was in the air, what had landed on the seats, me, my kids, my dad, and others around me, the fact that during the race I couldn't look towards turn 4 beyond the flag stand because of the sandblast effect, the fact that it 'didn't used to be like that', etc, etc, etc.
I was immediately and repeatedly attacked....at times by people who were not even there that night I never said LMP sucked, the racing sucked, or anything like that, but still, several folks felt the need to jump me.
Classic example of blind defense of LMP.
I have had no reason to complain about WRP.
As somebody that has been around this game a while, I honestly believe that Waynesfield is a great place to watch great racing. And I truly do not understand why the grandstands are not overflowing each week. I try to bring long time race fan that haven't been to WRP (for whatever reason), and people that are new to racing, to WRP each week. And by bringing my kids, I'm trying to keep the fan base coming for the future. After that sprint feature at LMP, my kids told me "Dad, we don't like this place...it's too dirty, can we just go to Waynesfield" At WMP my kids have a blast picking who they think are going to win. They get my dad, my sister, my aunt, my cousin, and me in on it too.
Like I said earlier in this thread (and in another thread a while back), I personally thanked Dean this year for a great night of racing. While I was talking to him, I also thanked him for the speed of the program, the kids under 10 getting in for free, and the minimal to no dust at all.
Tracks need to accept the positive comments, and the negative comments. True you can't please everyone, but you can quite possibly learn something from everyone.
