I was not saying anything bad about the track. I was talking about how crude the " late model" type cars from that area tend to be ... That's

Exactley ..... The serious latemodel guys aren't going to race for a steelblock purse!( Although yet not disclosed) And they aren't going to race where its takes a body a night! Hence, why I think he would be better of calling it Limited late and allowing everyone with any type Steel Block to race! Most of the other tracks in that area are Steel Block! (Hummingbird..Thunder Mt. Hesston...Marion Center's steel block division) That won't discourage anyone on either side of the fence! If you want to have a better paying special that allows aluminum engines...do that! I just don't think trying to combine them for a weekly show will do anyone any justice!

a limeted late is the same exact thing as a super latemodel the only difference is that in a limeted late you have to run a steel block, other then a steel block the cars are identicle

The difference he is going to make beetween limited steel block and aluminum is u have to put 100 pounds some where infront of the driver that's it to make up for the weight differnce

Once again....None of the moore serious latemodel guys are going to do that! So why bother! I also like the strictly Crate option also! Would give the Dog cars somewhere besides Roaring Knob and PMS to run on Saturday night! I think it would be well supported!

for the street stocks, do you think they will be "hummingbird" type cars, or something like McKean county has with a smaller cube limit and 8" wheels?

It's called saving the racer money !! Wider tires mean you can put more power to the ground which requires more power to be competitive !!! It's not rocket science

its hard to say. if he wanted to except cars from all over, he'd have to do like mercer does with the little guy nationals and put different requirements on the cars. like if you run a 358 or smaller on 8" tires, run an 8" spoiler or something along those lines. 358 to 406 on 10" tires, no spoiler and wiegh a little more. it's hard to make everyone happy.

A crate car is where I would like to go. Just not all that interested in traveling to Dog Hollow on a steady basis.

There's always more speed! And you don't have to cheat to find it!

I assume the 270 Micros, 305 Sprints, and 410 Sprints will all have a shot to run there. Maybe see a 358 or 360 race/tour, ARDC Midgets, BOSS Sprints, or maybe 600 Micros?

It has been proven at Marion Center that the crate cars can win against the open steel blocks on a regular basis so a track like ARP would not be a disadvantage if running a crate.

Yes but that only applies to an extremely dried up track like mc is on a regular basis, rumor has it they are putting new clay down then you will see a change in that concept.

Hers a novel idea: Let's all go there with an open mind and let the man state his plan for the track. I think we owe him that much. It's not like people were running each over to purchase the track. He's spent a ton of money and time to give us a weekly race venue. I know I'll have an open mind.

Motor racing, mountain climbing and bull fighting are the only true sports... All the rest are children's games played by adults." Ernest Hemingway
