Its like comparing apples to oranges if you like asphalt racing go to cnb, Ipersonally would go dirtracing over paved anyday, so them having same day really has no signifigance.
You have no idea what you are talking about. It is MOST DEFFINETLY going to affect the crowd at both tracks. STUPID move.
Don't know much about this promoter but wasn't she the promoter or owner of a track that had to be closed or sold?

Thanks for the input, you already had this date on your schedule and that is the race I will be attending. Yesterday would have been a perfectly fine day to run the chilli, bad call in my opinion!!I don't usually say too much out here, but have to jump in...
Jeff and AMP did not make this decision and are not any happier about it than we are at CNB. It splits the fans, the cars and goes against several other big Dirt Specials.
Jeff and I have a good working relationship and still do. If you want to complain then please talk to the promoter of the event.
Both AMP and CNB appreciate and need your support. This isn't the end of the world - both will be here again next year!

Monday morning crew chief, and if it rained and many guys stayed over, people would be bitching too. Nothing is ever right and everyone else always knows how to do it better. Clearfield got hammered with rain Friday night and the place was a mud hole Saturday, and thus why it started late. Most of you would make good wives, cause with all the bitching that goes on here, might want to check the status of what's in your pants. If you want to go, then go. If you don't, then go give your wife a hand in the garage, she could use a snack and cold beerThanks for the input, you already had this date on your schedule and that is the race I will be attending. I've seen Jeff run that place on a Sat night with hard rain the night before, it was 80 degrees yesterday and would have dried up fast. I don't like someone running a race over top of another in the area and I will say something if I want, its America pal!! I see your good at kissing people asses, so go do what your good at!!Monday morning crew chief, and if it rained and many guys stayed over, people would be bitching too. Sounds like you should cut your losses from Saturday and race somewhere else this Saturday if thats there attitude. That kind of attitude is why racing around here is in such sorry shape.I never complain about how the tracks are ran/operated/rules, but it was ridiculous. I was at the shed waiting for a drivers meeting at 1:30, because the racing was suppose to start at 2. 2 rolls around, no drivers meeting or racing so i ask and they say 2:15 for the drivers meeting. Then at the drivers meeting she says no pulling fenders, you cant do anything, you're allowed a funnel and gas
at the break. Also, you have to open the gas lid with a quarter. Like, really? What is someone going to do to a car with a screw driver? So after the meeting, i confront her and say, "hey, its the end of the season, motors are wore out and using some oil could i check my oil at the break to be safe? Im not risking blowing my engine on the last night." She says, "yeah, if you come in the pits and go to the tail." WE CANT EVEN CHECK THE OIL?!! ITS THE END OF THE SEASON! MOTORS ARE WORE, THINK ABOUT IT!

Since I don't own a late model, maybe I'm out of the loop. Is it common for teams check the oil during a race?"hey, its the end of the season, motors are wore out and using some oil could i check my oil at the break to be safe? Im not risking blowing my engine on the last night." She says, "yeah, if you come in the pits and go to the tail." WE CANT EVEN CHECK THE OIL?!! ITS THE END OF THE SEASON! There is a 100 lapper at PPMS on the same night. Pays $25k to win. I don't know if they'd take a break to let you check your oil there either, though. Its just ridiculous. Im still going to go just for the fact that ive never ran a 100 lap race and Ive always wanted too.

QUOTE:I have never seen a promoter make rants like this and tell fans and drivers not to come to their race. Just unprofessional and turn out at the races proves it. But hey if that's the way you want to act and promote a race go for it.
OK BIG JOHN AS FOR THE CONCESSION, YES PEOPLE WHO WERE TO WORK DIDNT SHOW UP! MY FAULT? NO! THE PEOPLE THAT DID SHOW UP TO WORK PICKED UP ALOT OF SLACK FOR THOSE WHO DIDNT SHOW AND MOST OF THEM DONATE THEIR TIME AND DROVE 2HRS OR MORE TO DO IT.WAS IT A PERFECT DAY ? HELL NO, BY FAR IT SUCKED!! BUT PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF AND THESE OTHER YAYHOOTS THAT RUN THEIR MOUTH ON HERE ALL THE TIME . DONT HAVE THE SLIGHTEST CLUE WHAT IT TAKES TO DO A REGULAR RACE LET ALONE A SPECIAL. THEN ADD IN THE MONEY MADE ALL GOES TO CHARITIE ( IN CASE YOUR TOTALLY CLUELESS THAT MEANS GOOD PEOPLE DONATE THEIR TIME TO DO THIS) YES SO YOU CRACKPOTS CAN GET ON HERE AND RUN YOUR DRIBBLE ABOUT ANYTHING YOU WANT BUT LIKE I SAID BEFORE IF YOU THINK YOU CAN DO BETTER BY ALL MEANS PLEASE DO SO, THERE ARE ALOT OF GOOD CHARITIES OUT THERE YOU COULD DONATE YOUR TIME AND OWN MONEY TOO.!
NEVER ONCE IN MY RANT DID I TELL FANS AND DRIVERS NOT TO COME!!! WHERE DO YOU GUYS GET THIS STUFF?? THE ABOVE QUOTE WAS MINE!
I HAD LITERALLY 2 MIN TO MAKE A DECISION ABOUT THE RAINDATE, THEY WERE CALLING FOR RAIN ALL DAY SUNDAY, SO INSTEAD OF HAVING PEOPLE STAY OVER NIGHT SOMEWHERE AND SPEND MORE MONEY JUST TO GET RAINED OUT. WE CHOSE THE 12TH.AND AT NO TIME DID I KNOW THAT THE OTHER TRACK WAS EVEN HOLDING A RACE, TILL AFTER WARDS ON HERE. THIS WAS NOT INTENTIONAL AT ALL REGAURDLESS OF WHAT ANYONE THINKS!

No its not. If thirdgen43's stuff burns that much oil in 50 laps that he needs to check it at the break, he needs to stay the heck home. That engine has a serious issue and you shouldn't be racing it. And I don't want to hear about money. Because doing stupid stuff like that, is why guys don't have any money. You need to race smart.

They don't let teams check oil during the race anywhere. THINK ABOUT IT.

You have a break at 50 laps, would it hurt to check the oil? It uses a little less than a quart of oil on a regular night. It needs rings. There is a 100 lapper at PPMS on the same night. Pays $25k to win. I don't know if they'd take a break to let you check your oil there either, though.
