I don't think the place has been closed for 5 years if that and i think one reason it closed was that the people running the place switched from sunday night racing to friday night racing , if i am not mistaken. i was there a few times and it was a real nice place and the one time i was there it was completly packed with fans.and that was a sunday night race.

when is last time a race was run there ???? place probably needs shit load of work done to it. hard to imagine place would be able to open for just a few races. the money it will take to run an event. insurance. purse. etc. etc. one of those I will believe it when I see it .people saying now they will support racing there. Isnt that one of the reasons it closed lack of support ???

It closed because the previous owners were arrogant, incompetent jerkoffs who had no clue what they were doing.

Tri-City has been closed 2-1/2 years. The last race was July 15, 2011. Robbie Blair won the Late Model feature while Max won the FASTRAK race. Walt

Talk about hitting the nail on the head. Exactly why it closed.

I hope these new owners have studied the recent history of TCS, particularly as it relates to it's demise and eventual closure, and schedule what they are going to run there accordingly.

Well that's easy to prove or disprove.
If it is up for Sheriff Sale it has to be published in the public notices in the local newspapers and also the property its self will be posted with the Sheriff Sale notice signs (usually florescent orange, green, or some other high vis color).
Also a call to the County Sheriff's office would confirm or deny.

Walt, didn't Roger Crick have something to do with TCS under Graham's ownership?

Copied this from another source: Cool to see this. Tri-City Speedway PA)Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA will have a new owner. It is a high-banked, big 1/2 mile track with first class facilities that has seen a rough decade. In 2014 the track will operate for 5 nights of special racing, the "Sizzlin' Summer Series" of events that would include a Sunday night date in May, June, July, August, and September. The Sizzlin' Summer Series would function as an independent series that would not only pay the area's best purse on each of the five nights, but would also accumulate a point fund for the division champs and would crown a "King of the Summer" for the top point-earner overall. A Sizzlin' Summer Series event would include overnight camping before and after the event, fireworks, side stage concerts, a flea market, and these divisions: 410 Sprints, BRP Big Block Modifieds, FASTRAK Late Models, and an open stock car division. The Sizzlin' Summer Series purse for the 410's looks like this: 1 - $10,000 2 - $3,500 3- $2,500 4 - $1,000 5 - $900 6 - $800 7 - $700 8 - $600 9 - $500 10 - $400 11 through 20 - $300 21 through 30 - $225 30+ - $200

Yes, Mike & Roger were partners at Tri-City. I worked for them for 13 years. Well, I shouldn't say "work" as to me race track announcing was always a "fun" job!! Walt

I am confused! How can these races be scheduled? Who will buy this at the sale? Will it even be a race track? Careful what we ask for!

If this does come to fruition, I hope that whoever decides on the nights to schedule races would take a look at the World of Outlaws Sprints schedule! There are three months, that if scheduled correctly, there would be a chance of a few Outlaw drivers stopping for a visit.

  • May 11 - On the way to Lincoln/Williams Grove
  • July 13 - On the way to Lernerville
  • September 21 - The night after Lernerville

But I guess only time will tell...

the outlaws have certain restrictions and prohibited to race at non WoO sanctioned events because they would lose points. so it is doubtful you would see any of the top 10 in points.
