don't know the exact numbers but was told as of 2pm (1 hour before start) they had 8 total cars for 3 classes, with just 2 of them late models....

Wow thats a shame. Wonder if the arca truck race for next week is cancelled?

Its a dirty shame that this guy has put all the money and time into this and it just isnt happening. I really think he needs to sell to a rich investor that wants to turn it into a 5/8 clay oval, like back in its glory days, you would get cars and a good crowd if that happened..

He doesn't own the track to sell it. He was/is leasing it.

Only thing that would save the track would be I'd a tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon purchased it and ran specials.

The track was saved without the big name owners when the Baineys ran it..... Then they ruined it.

They don't seem to do much promoting of the place except a day or two before the race. 900 to win a 75 lapper doesn't seem like it would be very enticing either.

You mean to tell me they had a $13,000 purse and the winners share wasn't even 10%?

Agreed, big motor tracks and big motor crashes won't get you consistent numbers.

Don't worry snooky, I'm sure we'll hear during the off-season that Tony Stewart bought it.

NO, not a "Special" when I mean specials...I mean something like a traveling series...that was a special geared to Late Models around here...which we all know there aren't any...

It will take someone with DEEP pockets and a lot gumption to run the place.

And yes a Tony Stewart type person would be perfect for the place.

I guess I am missing the Tony Stewart buying every dirt track thing? To my knowledge he only owns one, and he bought the most successful track in the USA! I must say the car counts have decreased since Tony purchased it (based only on the World 100). So I guess everyone's thinking this track will be a top 5 track in the country just because Tony buys it? I will let The Legend take over from here, but no politics! LOL.

No where to eat breakfast on the way home!  Ran a few Yankmedoodle 50's back in the seventies there!  Never really cared fro that place!  I think I  posted my latemodel payout( what I think it should be ) on another post!  Maybe you and I Legend should go half on a track with some potential!  In a good solid location where people have jobs... and can afford to go to the races!
