He can try specials or let it sit there and pay property tax on nothing. You still think he made millions off the place don't you ???

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe losing money wasn't the reason or the only reason that he decided to close up shop for the year?  I didn't seem to matter what they did or tried to do up there this year, there was always people bellyaching.

Absolutely agree with ace on this one. I don't know the back stories, but you can't run next year ANYTHING if you didn't follow through on points money this year. If you didn't close for financial reasons you damn sure better crown your champions this year and pay them what they worked for all year or they won't be there to support your specials.

well boys i can see most wont give the guy any thanks.   but i bet you this,  if jeff runs 4 specials next year and lets say1 or 2 late model specials[ on the properly picked date] paying 3000.  he will have a full show and make money that day.   and i bet if some of you used your proper names you wouldnt be so negative on these matters.   if you were not ashamed of half of the things you post you would use you real name. man up and crawl out from behind your keyboard and use your proper names.

thank you, thank you ,thank you and thank you too jake for supporting the track this past year .if half the guys that had semi lates built would have showed up it would have been nice but most  of them never  showed up at the same time . like i said cars bring fans and fans spend  money  that is pretty simple .oh by the way jake the name is mark if you need to know .

way to man up mark,   wish all  those semi guys would show up at racing for heros and support the cause for an evening.  between the 2 tracks there is a full field.  the semi lates will be racing every show next year at racing for heros. jeff and company really hit the mark with this class.  i pulled up the points standings for amp and racing for heros and found there quite a few names listed.  love to see them all race together at least one time.     we believe luke hoffner, steve cambell, and a few other great late model drivers are going to join in next season.  if that is so the semi late class will be the premier class there.  time will only tell that story!!!  anybody know how i can contact the amp tech guy?  i could use his help for a week.

AMP tech guy? Did they have one? I think the semi class may be a great alternative to the high dollar classes. Jeff did have a good concept. Maybe Thunder Mountain will run them next year.

......... I always thought the racing on that track was pretty poor. I was excited to hear Jeff was planning to change tracks layout but he never gomt that far.

Here's a guy that got it right.

And as someone else posted, Clearfiled area racing has had terrible stability over the last quarter century. We've only had a handful of good years (and that even breaks down further to a handful of good events). This Clearfield on/off switch certainly leaves fans and racers scrambling to find a place to race or be entertained. I'm not sure where this pleading to the masses that we owe some form of loyalty comes from when you can't be offered any in return.

I hope any new endeavors don't base their prospects on message board polling.
