To have a successful business you need to understand your customers.  Anyone in business knows this.....they are always asking (the customer) what they like about the service or product they offer and what they dont like...and they listen to both answers...

In this case the customers are the racer and the fans and if there was a true understanding of their expectations the stands would be full and the pits would be full as well.......some of the gap is the economy but thats only a percentage.......

Maybe they should ask what both groups are looking for??

Bad thing is the track has been smooth And fast. Kinda to much bite for the crate motors they are taking a pounding with running wide open but it is smooth!

first off,, you need 55's to run there most times. 3 of them.....so, guys at other tracks are not buying 55's just to race ppms.  big tracks are dieing/...

Well did you ever look at it this way. The late models are not there now. So those big motors cant throw all the soft top layer of dirt off the track to slick it out. Now the crates are the fastest there and not much help with other divisions making it slick either. Only the bottom of ppms ever has bite.

So why weren't they blowing up motors the last 3 years then? Crates always ran before SLM in both heats and features. You guys are acting like the track is 17.9 seconds fast and there's mud all over the wall like the 80s. It's smooth and fast with minimal dust. If you read all of the Sharon reviews and victory lane interviews every praised a smooth tacky track. I'm completely lost on why some people think slicking up the track back to 2001 levels will magically make 100 cars appear again.

In heat races no other cars were on the track after hot laps and they usually watered the heck out of the track during intermission and Crates were the first feature on the track again. But now suddenly motors are grenading? Makes no sense.

The best part of the show was before the heats when the two run in vehicles smashed into each other. Sounded like a grenade went off. Only at PMS

You might need to buy tires there but you can run on the same set of 55s for at least three weeks without buying a tire.

Vince you claim conditions are perfect and you aren't out there racing ..... I'm pretty sure that makes your opinion as useful as a cawk flavored lollipop . Crate motors were not designed to run WFO for entire races week after week .

It's comical how you act like 2001 was the dark days of ppms and 2015 and your hammer down conditions are like the 1990's dot com boom !!

Jon, correct me if I'm wrong but you haven't even been to the track to know what's going on so how useful is that opinion? I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how this season so far is ANY different for Crates as they are still running first? As if those 9, yes 9, SLM made the track bone dry? Time to find another excuse to bash the track.

I think we should all agree that the place is on its final legs under the current ownership.  Unless someone new comes in, there will be something else on that piece of land sometime in the future.

Racing is not booming these days, but a track with 35 cars total is not going to survive.
