Any knowledgeable race fan knows enough to know that him racing a sprint car won't happen for a long time if ever. And anyone who would go just on the chance they might see some dude walking around probably deserves to have their 30 bucks taken. With all the "TONY STEWART" and "SMOKE" along with his photo in the advertisement , are we expected to see him racing at PPMS ??????? He will fly by on his way to Eldora for the DREAM . Is this a way of drawing more fans to spend $30 ???

Front Gate open at 5pm, hot laps at 6pm.
Do you realize the Allstars move right into qualifying right after hot laps, without anything being done to the track?
If you start hot laps at 6pm, I see it possible hot laps will be done by 6:30 and qualifying will start.
My experience at your gate is it's a very slow line. I can see many fans stuck in line wanting to see qualifying and missing it! Plus only having a place of one at a time to enter after buying a ticket, makes it a pain too.
I think you either need to open the Front gate sooner or put off hot laps till 6:30. I'll be there before 5pm, because I don't want to miss qualifying, but if you get any sort of crowd at all, your going to have a ton of angry fans.

All tracks are different, there are going to be other divisions other than sprint cars there as well. I dont see any problem with what they are doing. And I have never seen a difference between their front gate and any other front gate. Plus, you have an hour from when the gates open until anything even touches the track, if you dont have enough time to get to your seat by then, its your own fault. JMO

Pittsburgh usually has a late arriving crowd. A few years ago when Bad Habit was there, a friend of ours got there at 530 and got right in. We got there at 645 and the line was from the ticket window to the other end of the lot. With only 2 windows open, lots of folks missed the beginning of that nights program. I would suggest if qualifying is important to you that you get there early. It would be nice if you could buy the tickets at show clix and print them and just walk in but you gotta go to the window anyways which defeats the purpose of trying to get them online.

I'd be surprised if he makes the prelim split field races, let alone the big race. That's a whole different world over there.Tim will be at the Dream. only way that he will be at PPMS on Sat, is if he don't make the show. the way he ran that car in practice you never know.

Tim is a great racer. The only problem I've seen when he is in his own crate, is a 4 wheel drift. If he's in someone else's car with that problem not there, strictly racing he has a chance to win. I would not be surprised if he does make the feature.
I see his 4 wheel drift problem as the left side tires letting go when the track gets slick and then the rights can't carry all the weight they have and the instant weight gain from the rights. Result, 4 wheel drift.
I see it happen on late models and big blocks when a track starts out with grip and then they have to start adjusting weight to the left, to engage and use the left side tires more. The problem is once the track looses enough grip, the left side tires can't hold what's been shifted to them, they let go and the rights follow, resulting in the 4 wheel drift.
The car has slowed down because of a slick track and the drift, but because too much weight has been put to the left side, the left's still can't hold the weight.
The fix is to get some weight off the left side and put it back to the right side.
Now the driver can slow to a reduced speed where the left's can still have some grip and the physical weight put to the rights can be carried by the rights. The new reduced speed, will be higher then what was possible with too much left side weight.
It's a matter of if you dump too much on the left, the left's give out at a higher speed, then if you put a little less to the lefts and maintain some on the right side.

he is far from retarded,. i do not know him , but he knows what he's talkin about. his assessment is spot on IMO.
i saw the same thing the night Tim practiced Johnson's late model and raced his own crate late. he was bad fast in the Super ( rumor was 1/10 off the track record) and in a 4 wheel drift in his crate.
Tim just hasn't figured out the proper balance in his car. Johnson bought a brand new Club 29 that had the proper balance between left and right and Tim looked like he been drive Late models for years.
i think Tim will fare well at Eldora, i'm not sayin he will win, but i think he will be competitive. he is a natural talent that can adapt.
