Skull, I'm not a hard core PPMS fan, I'm a hard core race fan, period. Some of us have more tolerance for shortcomings than others. You do you share of complaining about Lernerville, but usually in a constructive way. I may put up with more than the average fan to see what I consider to be good racing. The problems of today's racetracks goes far beyond the condition of the facilities and the speediness of the program. Kids of today are much more self-absorbed than in my day, if their parents aren't interested in racing, they probably won't be either. Lernerville still gets pretty good crowds, but not as good as just a few years ago. I don't know what the answer is, but am damn glad I'm not a promoter in today's market.
I don't disagree with anything you've posted here, but doing nothing sure as hell isn't the answer.
