Walt, No one has complained about Sharon for the facts you just posted above!

"Last night Sharon had a great show with the All Star Sprint Car winner decided by a "nose wing" and a very competitive
Modified race as well. All was in the books by 10:35."

What Walt meant was that no one said positive things about a great show at Sharon, but would be quick to criticize if the smallest thing were to go wrong. But most of the chronic complainers on here wouldn't understand that.

Flash49 I agree, but if it is all quiet like it is, I would take that nothing bad happened there and the racing was pleasing to all the paying clients. Usually this board is filled with ppms and lernerville posts every week. That would tell me as a promoter, that a lot of people on this board go to these 2 tracks and to take into consideration their options to make the show better.

Did anyone say anything about the great thrilling racing at Tyler county the past 2 nights? Nope.

Dobs Auto NQ race will be made up at the next Penn Ohio Series event at PPMS on August 8th.  All drivers will receive their $100 tow money this week.  If they decide to return and race on 8/8, they will compete for the extra money posted to the top 4 finishers and the fancy trophy :D .  If they do not return, they obviously just keep the tow money.  All drivers who did not make the A main will be eligible to race in this Dobs NQ race.  I know a couple guys broke in qualifying so they will tag the rear since they were not able to compete in the heats.

That was my point, bhh, this board only seems to be used for complaining, rather for thanks or congratulations.

So let's get back to talking about getting 50 freakin 1 Sportsman cars to a race in this day and age of shrinking car counts and tracks not working together!  I thought it was an amazing night and exciting for everyone involved.  Definitely the who's who of sportsman racing.  Look at the quality of drivers, it is really something to behold.  Thanks to ALL for helping me do this race.  Without the fans, sponsors, drivers and crew it wouldn't be what it is today!

I agree 100% with what Walt is saying. Losing Mercer or PPMS would be a great loss. I to have complained. It's very unfortunate that the issue's at PPMS are so blatant that for individuals who are coming out to the race's for the first time and see grandstands in that condition and a guy that I hope is trying his best but falls so short of being a announcer. I say it because of what PPMS used to be. No one can say it is what it was. I am not talking car counts, car counts everywhere are down. Everyone has an opinion, we are not the ones paying the bills. What the seasoned race fan of PPMS can't get past is why are they letting these things happen. We will never understand. That's why we complain.

Technically we as clients are the ones paying  the bills if you think about it about by buying a ticket. Also if no one complains about a bad product them the manufacturer will think their product is the best thing around and will never make a change.

I see some good posts especially about lernerville when they hit track prep right. I was sitting around some people Friday night and we got into talking about the track. We all agreed one big reason why we all go to lernerville is because of the track prep and how fast and tacky it can be on some nights with great racing. You wont get to see that kind of exciting speeds at mercer, ppms, ect.

No track in the area is faster as far as pure speed than a tacky PPMS. Tacky Lernerville has a tendency to be much racier, though.

Very little constructive criticism or complaining is to be found on this board,  Most of it is ad hominem and downright nasty.  You've got to be kidding me when you say you'll never see the type of speeds you see at Lernerville at PPMS. You're not much of a judge of speed if you believe that to be true.  Lernerville is a great track, I go almost every Friday night, but speeds are not nearly as fast as at PPMS.  Great, close racing, but not as fast. And another thing, for the last few years when the track at Pittsburgh was much more tacky, everybody was on here complaining.  I prefer a happy medium, and I think it was a little too dry last night, but it's always smooth and usually provides good racing.  And Vince, thank you once again for bringing all those Sportsman drivers to PPMS.

Yes with its size, but if Pa Motor Speedway was 'TACKY" they would had mud all over the wall like Eldora and be scrapping it off. The racing wouldn't be that great if they did not have full fields.

PPMS was slick last night and the Sportsman were still averaging 99-100 mph in the feature after all those laps with no additional watering. Pretty fast.

Sorry guys I did not mean the speeds at lernerville are faster than PPMS. PPMS is the fastest aroun no matter what conditions. What i meant was that you rarely see tracks tacky through most of the night  locally anymore and still have good racing.

The sportsmans at ppms are going faster than the super lates at lernerville on most nights. I heard the 5 and 55 were turning 18s last night. Thats fast.

Because everybody knows that Tyler is by far the best track in the Ohio Valley. Every race is excellent there, it goes without saying.

The track actually got faster as the night wore on, Christian Schneider's best lap in the feature was at 102 mph, Kyle Lukon's at 112, and Alex Ferree's at 116.
