the worst part is they had it this week.. the track was watered pretty good when we showed up,better than it has been the last month, but instead of hitting it again after the sun went down the water truck never moved the rest of the night.

Rocks galore, no clay. Been that way for years, dirt from the hill side aka ppms clay.

My take on the choke, now,  from what I have learned went down.

Dude was pissed their car was wrecked, again and threatening track officials, didn't do a thing but run his mouth..... And then got snatched up by the old man and did nothing (only smart thing he did!)

Hats off to Smokey for keeping order......dude is a pussy!

I think it's safe to say. That one be junk. Thankfully the only good thing that came out of that was, it wasn't on the driver's side. Know on to the in car screen shot. YOU GUYS RACING IN THOSE CONDITIONS ARE JUST FLAT OUT STUPID. Say all you want about the miley's and ppms. Get the hell off the track. People do this as a hobby because it is what they enjoy. Do you have mother's, father's, wives, or children. That pic of the 25 car, IF that hit was on the other side, everyone would be saying good things about the guy and guess what, his family. What the 25 guys did wrong was go out on the racetrack in the first place. How the hell did the late model guys see ? Ben Miley was on track wasn't he ? The flagman should be embarrassed that he gave the field a green flag. Where was the guy that comes on here and plasters poster's about the next great race there having ? Isn't smokies title race director ? Stupidity, just plain stupidity. Vince Laboon put on a great sportsman race in the memory of his father. PPMS isn't the same place it was years ago. You guys, the racers, better get out while you still can. If you think it's not obvious that someone in that facility doesn't give a shit, then your the same racers that are just plain stupid. Don't bitch. Drive that son of a gun into the corner flat out. There's many racetracks within a 1 hour drive that you may enjoy. Get outside the box. Never no, you mite like it.

The 17 car dumped that 25 .... He shoulda been pissed off. The issue was the track don't reprimand the a holes that cause torn up cars for no reason

I've never seen the place but lets review what I've read all summer on here:

piss poor road leading to grandstand parking

add boards missing

no paint

grand stand seating in disrepair/closed to the fans

lights half out

weeds everywhere

absolutely no clay/dust cloud to the level of a serious safety issue

watered up slop hole on the inside groove

drivers out of control

50 cars or less in the pits

AND last but not least...........owners that don't give a care!!!!!

Can I buy this track?..............quarter mil in repairs and a top notch PR guy and it could be the premier sat. night track in western PA

3 link. At 1 time. It was a place that finishing first meant you really had your crap together. The names in the field were impressive. Today, it only means u must have started in the front and nobody could see you because of the dust or no lights.

It's really a shame though because the only thing that has improved there over the years is the track prep and the racing. It went from an ice rink that was only a couple cars wide to a track that was actually too easy to pass on. Now it seems even that has gone to hell.

Jon- the telephone pole on the inside between turns 1 and 2, not the big white tire post at the end of the straightaway.  I have no clue how he did that much damage on the inside of the track mid turn.

Didn't Brian swartzlander hit that pole a few years ago in a brp race. Pretty sure his car looked the same way

Everyone has gotten so lazy there its a shame that even the track prep of dumping a load of water on it and calling it a day is the norm it appears. Guess track prep is getting cut back to save $$

It's going to take a lot more than a quarter million to bring that track up to anything close to the premier Saturday night track in western PA. At the very least, ir desperately needs new lighting. That's before we even get into the horrifically bad bleachers.
