I think we all wish we were in his shoes for 1 yr. After re evaluating how that 1 yr went, most people would walk away and say we need to focus on more local or regional stuff to try to get better! Not do it again and make a fool out of our selves!

a lot of $$$$ wasted traveling to be marginally competitive... plenty of closer tracks to get your skills on that are closer...

If anyone goes to the lucas race at sharon. Open your ears and listen to his motor compared to the rest of the lucas travelers. The kid is racing well. Come slick track time he is holding his own. He just doesn't have the motor to qualify well and has to start close to the rear of every heat race. It has to be frustrating as hell knowing your horses and there horses are not even close. You can talk about it as long as you want, but, if he and his dad are happy. Good for them. Quality time spent, and that can be worth more than any purse.

All you people a joke. Chub has used his share of provisionals in the past,
but no threads about that. If he has one to use, he gonna use it. Blame Lucas Oil for him making races you don't think he zhould. It's their rules.

Chub is a national champion of a lot of races. You got to be kidding me if you want to compare Colton to chub. This topic has hit an all-time low.

Not comparing anybody. Provisionals given to series guys who need them. Past record doesn't matter.

That is correct drivers who need them should get a provisional granted they were getting to the track late, or caught up in a wreck, or else had something happened to him. One should not follow a series just because they can rely on a provisional to get every race. This is exactly what they are doing knowing they will never have a shot to make a race unless there is under 24 cars. Look at tonight 26 cars I believe and he still cannot make the race on his own.

So you should be blaming LODLMS instead of a kid that is just taking advantage of the situation. He didn't make the rule.

The rule was put in place for teams that had an off night not to be taken advantage of every single race of the full season schedule. I think everybody would agree if you will go ask all the drivers that follow the tour.

Very simple!!!   There should be a limit to the number of provisionals a driver can use in a season!!   And that has to be up to Lucas!!   I think the WoO has such a rule, but not really sure.

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

The Lucas provisional is a reward for loyalty, much like those in the WoO.  I remember when Jordan Yaggy was getting into almost every race with a provisional.  The series want to reward those who follow the whole tour, because without these provisionals, folks like Flinner couldn't afford to run the whole series.  I'm sure Lucas wants to see their car counts as high as possible.

If they want to see their car count as high as possible why not just add 5 more provisionals and make a bigger field. And then they can hand out participation trophies to every single driver that did not win!
