. According to some people on here , Crates are slow & paint drying is more entertaining , so why would you need shocks ? Hell , I hear some cars don't have power steering or Brakes !!!! Lolonly drawback is hit one little bump and you fly over the wall...hate when that happens..lol
Lets see, who loves the Monster? 😂

The guy cares enough to ask and is genuinely interested. Yes sometimes its way out in left field topic or idea wise but If its that annoying and you can't help but be a dick then just move on. And this OP is hilarious I'm sure the track is great but when your asking guys in victory lane what they think they tend to say this is a favorite place. Richards loves PPMS but also just said Macon may be his favorite place right now... because he just won. Kin sr. May say he likes the new surface at sharon in victory lane but that doesn't match his opinion when there isn't a mic in his face. I have no issue with ppms but touring driver testimonials are about as relevant as campaign trail propaganda. Not everyone is Brachmann getting out in victory lane at Knox and being annoyed that the night took too long and the track needing improvements.
Testimonials have been an advertising staple since day one in the promotion business. You might want to take some with a grain of salt, but I have personally talked to Josh Richards on several occasions, and he really does like racing at PPMS. It fits his driving style apparently, as he has been successful there since he came on the scene. I have been going to the races since the mid 1950s, and over the years, have heard lots of drivers not to happy with the track after winning the feature. Not so much nowadays, as I think track prep has come a long way since the old days.

I also think the times have changed and things are more positive towards a track from drivers in that regard when asked regardless of how they really feel. I can imahine that things were different back in the day. The knly other person i heard say anytjing in VL was Kinser at the NST race at Tri-City. I agree track prep has come a long way and that helps. Now you get drivers that are divided and complain on either side of slick vs tacky.

Flash49 what you need to think about is this. Has track prep gotten better due to the smaller amount of cars in thr divisions not burning up the track? Or has track prep been consistent over the Long Haul now it just gets better that we don't have full fields.
They don't use calcium anymore, that changed everything. They also fixed the banking so that every groove can be used. Misting the track before the features works wonders too. They've come a long way over the years and they do a lot with very little. It's a shame they don't get 20+ supers weekly like they used to at one time. Those late 90's/early 00's fields of supers would put on one heck of a weekly show the way the track is nowadays.

one also has to remember the cars of yesterday and today are so so much different in HP, corner speeds in general, these and many other factors, downforce, all have to be taken into consideration when it comes to track prep today. What worked yesterday may not work today. Calcium was used mostly before, today many are finding soap helps hold the moisture in the surface.

the DEP (DErP as they should be called) nixed calcium, apparently when anyone but them uses it, it's harmful to creeks.
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
