Vince co-existence would be good if that happens. But what I see from Rush is they want everything their way. But again it is early so lets just wait and see or email Miley and tell them how you feel and what you want. Just my personal OP.

I was just speaking on 604s in general with Penn Ohio. Im a firm believer every local track should use their rules. The only gap I see is 604s having to weigh the same as the open hammers. Some tracks make the opens weigh 3100# to race with Crates. My simple solution would be opens 2900#, 604 2800#, 602 2700#, any car on 8 tires also gets a 100# weight break all run Penn Ohio rules. Encourage more people to race, not less.

I would be all for a weight brake for a 604. But they need to bolt 80lbs in front of the flywheel. Thats why they dont get weight brakes imo. Aluminum heads.

Vicki will eventually take over all the divisions within the next five years. That is her goal One Division at a time and one track at a time to have her cars race their weekly.

The heads are maybe a 40# difference/lower front percentage advantage. But in a 2900# car thats not a huge advantage when youre down 200 HP. Im not saying 200# like the old rules but something.

It seems that as the penn Ohio series was growing along came rush and wanted to be a player in the game. I do have a problem with the take over of every division in western pa.

It started with the late models, then into modifieds, then sprint cars, and know (whatever you care to call them) pro stocks, sportsman.

In the years that the plan has been put into place 1 organization has destroyed racing in western pa. The track owners are as much to blame. PPMS hangs on by shoestrings, the track is a monster 1/2 mile. It's also a motor killer. It's also a dinosaur in my opinion.

Why every division ??? Greed ? In with Sweeney ? Are most of the rush motors coming over there parts counter. Are the selected rebuild shops paying a premium to be on that list ?

All of you defenders out there, remember the people coming thru the gates keep tracks alive. I have attended rush shows, never will there divisions be a stand alone show. Unless of course there's a takeover.

Then the last of the true die hard fans will be gone. I give fastrack credit for not being as greedy as there competition. They are focused on 1 division.

To be a guy that has a top 3 division car in his shop. Give it up, the takeover is going to make you lose your ass.

For someone who doesnt race or attend races in the area you sure have a lot to say... if its so bad why are guys who have been out of the sport for years getting back into the rush division? Why dont you go through your late model ranks and see who came from the crate divisions. I already saw 2 guys moving up from the rush sprints to 410s which is the point of the classes... why is there so much money and sponsors in the classes? As far as saying the racing is bad your dumb. The winner in rush mods at the stampede came from 19th last lap pass. The crate late feature was absolutely incredible... and I watched Norris lap the field every week all season in the super lates.... yay open engines. There is a reason there is more crate engines in the county than open motors. Maybe you should loose your ego and actually field a car you could afford and have fun racing again.

I open motor raced for several years and for 2018 upon my better judgement I decided to take a chance an bought a crate car (Rush Modified). I heard all the reasons why I should just buy a mediocre big block instead of wasting my money on a crate blah blah blah. Well guess what I had the most enjoyable racing season Ive had to date. Not to mention I raced 25 times opposed to the 12-15 I normally run. I spent less money and had more fun. Regardless of what the folks at PPMS do the fact remains there are more racers that can afford a crate engine then can afford an open engine. The sportsman class at lernerville has a strong field of cars and its a shame to see them sit at home or go elsewhere on Saturday night. Its also a shame to see guys winning stock car races with $25k engines especially when its usually the same couple of guys. Everyone has an opinion on crate engines but you cant change the fact that is has increased the # of cars in the pits.

Better check again, from what I've seen on Facebook, Fastrak is heading the same route and picking up other divisions as well.

I don't understand why so many people think the size of the track makes it an engine killer.  The size of the track has no bearing on how hard it is on an engine, in fact, high sustained rpm is easier on a motor than constantly changing rpm.  The kind of tracks that are hard on motors are the ones where there is a ton of grip, ruts, or cause large variations in engine rpm.  PPMS has, without a doubt, the most consistent and smooth racing surface around, which is something you appreciate when you race at other tracks in the area.

Look at DirtCar / UMP. They have sanctions in 12 divisions, of which 5 are crate. RUSH is not doing anything new. Someone needed to step up and get local racing under control. Vicki and Mike stepped up to the plate and took a huge chance. Thankfully that chance is working out for the drivers and fans alike.

Taking away the weight for a basic 350 motor makes for two motor types
Crate and Open
There is a place between a 6000 crate and a 15000 hammer that has been part of racing since the beginning of time !
A person who can put together a long block 350 from Clearfield that ran on the asphalt in an old late model with aheads and intake and carborator from a 602 crate and pull close to 500 hp for less than 4000!
That racer is not welcome any more RIP

To the defenders of crate racing. First off, did I not say the owners of race tracks across the state or anywhere are as much to blame as anyone. They alone let things get so far out of hand it will never be reeled in again.

I do not have a problem with crate motors, a friend of mine races a Rush dirt late model and does very well with it! My biggest problem is when Rush came in and placed the crates only in the pro stocks, and anyone who did not go crate where not permitted to race. That is a problem rather you see it or not. Just come up with some rules so crates and opens can race together. Someone said Lernerville had a good car count, 18 cars is ok but a 23 and up car is better. Just my personal take. As far as PPMS at least they are asking the racers what THEY want.

So if the payout was $300 for an open motor stock car what will the payout be for a crate motor stock car? Since it is cheaper I'm assuming that the purse will be a lot smaller also. Isn't it $300 for the rush modifieds to win?

on FB they say they are "strongly considering to go to RUSH rules for the 2019 season for prostocks".  Needless to say, the comments rip them apart lol
