Wow, thats pretty good for the classes they are running. Ive been to back gate tracks that charge that much for a regular show.

 

I'd be fine with your suggestions, but many folks would howl about the $5 gate hike.

Its 20 bucks to get in Port for a regular show. Pretty reasonable I think for getting to see 410''s and Super Lates, plus sometimes they add 358 and 305 sprints or 358 limited lates as a third class.

Spence is the younger brother of Clate. As far as i know he is still alive and lived in West Decatur, Pa. Hes probably around 80 years old now.

Bedford has a 4000 to win unsanctioned super late race plus semi lates an pure stocks on Friday the 28th. Trailways speedway is also running a 4000 to win race for  the supers on the same night, makes a lot of sense lol.

Well if not wanting my friends to get hurt due to negligence makes me not a race fan, so be it. You notice I didnt say a word about it until it happened for the 3rd week in a row and 4th time this season. Theres been plenty of opportunity to address it and it still hasnt. This isnt something minor like a shitter not working or a speaker not working. Thats an extremely dangerous situation thats being pushed off. I want this track to be a success. I want Applefest to be a success. You dont think those NY cars are going back to their buddies and telling them the lights went out 3 times during the modified feature? Do you think that makes it appealing to race there? To act like its just a blip is fn insane

I agree with this guy, whats worse, criticism, or someone getting hurt? I get moneys tight all over, but ive seen other tracks push stuff off til "next year', and usually doesnt end well.

It's something different around here plus a little bit of everything (lates, sprints, mods, stocks)

That was one of the best races I've seen all year. It looked like Stickley was the car to beat until he broke, then there was quite a battle for the lead. There was 2 and 3 wide racing all over the place.

Agree about Stickley, good to see Ross Robison, Stickley, Walker Arthur make the trip up. Pretty neat little track.

Yes and maybe Hardy and other Winchester guys......Dave Hess and guys from up that way should show too and a few from up in New York....I'd think Lake and Zeigler will show?

Saw on facebook Michael Lake will be there.

   Two big races in western PA over the weekend.  Dog Hollow pulled 45 cars, but Bedford only 18 and the Bedford race paid more to win.  I rarely get to either track, but wondering if some of those who do know why so much difference in car counts??    BTW...The Selinsgrove WoO race only drew 25 cars.

True, not many lates at Bedford, but for the most part they were all quality drivers. Might have to do with  a lot of drivers dont like inverts?

There are quite a few Steel-Blocks in that line-up, but 27 cars is 27 cars.  

Tell that to the guys that were tore up by the idiots in the steelblocks. Doesnt look like a lot of quality in that lineup. Id rather watch 10 good cars race than have a large field with a bunch of assclowns tearing everyone else up.

I presume there was some sort of penalty handed down for crashing folks under the yellow??
