#426476 Rambo wins $15,000 FASTRAK World Championship with box stock crate engine!

These huge paying crate races do nothing to help the division.  Super LM teams with more funding usually come in an carry the money away.     ALL the motors should be box stock and should never be opened.    That is one of the failures of this class. Allowing rebuilds and money spent on unneccesary rebuilds.

For the most part, the tracks in PA are very professionally run and send all cars that stop to the rear.  Then there is this weird pocket of tracks in Clearfield and Indiana County that use back woods judgment calls, and cause situations like this.

Seems there is a lot of hatred to the Mileys for selling the track, but none of these haters came up with the funds to buy the track when it was for sale the last several years.   If you didn't try to actually save this track yourself, the hate is nothing more than typical internet trash talk.

#419692 2016 Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series Shows -- $1,000 to $2,000 to-Win

With all of the criticism toward Lernerville for basically going with a stock motor in the class this year, the Penn-Ohio rules shouldn't be praised either.  Those type of rules is what had killed the class over the last 10 years.    Basically their only engine rules are steel block and heads and wet sump.  These cars are running steel block late model motors!  No cam rule, no piston rule, no cubic inch rule, unlimited headwork.     Motors like that belong in Late Models.

BRC27 is right.  There are too many support classes in this area.   A 4 to 5 class show is manageable.   If a class is getting 15 plus cars in a class, then it is justified.    We don't need Limited Lates AND Crate Lates, E-mods AND Econo-mods, Street Stocks AND Pure Stocks.   Right there are six classes that should be blended into three.   Creating new crate-only classes doesn't help.    The steel blocks can go either with the Supers or the Limiteds.

#403472 Sharon set to open April 25 with new racing format, $10 admission, new s...

Group qualifying = hot laps.   Doesn't pay anything and cars will wreck during the group qualifying.

Bottom line is Sharon just made a step toward becoming a go kart track.  Go kart tracks are totally back gate where racers pay their own purse.     When the program doesn't interest fans and is geared totally to the drivers whims, that's where it ends up.    I wouldn't cross the street and pay $5 for a show that doesn't have heat races for the top divisions.

#395975 The 2014 Pittsburgher 26

"Meh. Ya'll can bicker about it all you want, I'm going to go to the Pittsburgher on Saturday at least, probably Sunday too. I enjoy the racing at PPMS and I haven't been out there yet this year, and the Pittsburgher is really my only chance to go."

Exactly the mindset they are counting on. "It's the end of the season so I'll pay their price ". Thing is fir sure, this family takes and takes from racing in the region and puts nothing back into it ( track improvements, good purses etc.). They are the epitomy of leeches on area racing.
