I talked to a guy who was up tuesday(and talked to someone there) and he said the track looks real good and there is plans to put a 4 high guide rail around turn 1 and 2 , add bleachers and some in the pit area, put in a special sitting place under the pavillion for handicapped people to watch from ,and a new score board is supossed to be on the way also. lots of work to be done once again good luck .

Maybe he didn't want any more know-it-all locals poking their noses around and pointing out what still needs done and questioning whether it can be done in a certain amount of time.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Went by there yesterday and it looks like nothing was ever done to the place with the exception of a scoreboard. Track has washouts ask thru it, grass growing over the surface and old rusty guardrails all the way around. Doesn't look like it's gonna happen this year.

We've stopped up a few times since he's started working up there. Yeah, it's slow going. But I'd much rather he take his time and do it right.

I'd love to have it back out but I've got more important things going on right now. Yeah I just said that! LOL. I'll definitely be back sometime down the road. Besides I have a little more work than just dusting the old car off; it's tore down to just a frame.

I should not be writing this but I can not keep quite about what you two have just wrote. You said you were there yesterday,I was not but can someone please call the Clearfield Police and tell them that someone just stole the 6 in. of new clay that was just put down Monday and Tuesday, that they stole the new bathrooms mens and womens, they must of got all the new guardrail stacked in the old winners circle.I hope they did not get all the new underground wiring that was installed so the fans do not have to look thru all the power lines. Can you tell me if they put back 80 tons of rock that was removed going down the walk way to the grandstand, that will make them upset to have to remove it again. My god don't tell me they took all the new drainage from top the hill to the pond so the hillside parking area where people like to tailgate won't have wet grounds. And did I here you say that they stole the new light poles they just put two weekends ago.How about the scoreboard I guess that is gone also. Can you guys let me know, did they narrow the roadway going down to the track back to a single lane.I will pass all that you say to the {grass cutter}.

Nice reply Chuck.

Biggest problem anyone faces within this sport is that those that look from outside have no idea what time, $$$$ and effort goes into getting something off the ground. They dont know about all the stuff you mentioned because they dont see it in their cursory look from the parking area at the bottom of the entrance road and they dont find someone and ask.... yet they're quick enough to jump on and question or criticize. And finally, they have no idea of the personal time, committment and sacrifice that guys like Jeff put in.

Last week they sunk 169 poles in the ground for the new gaurdrail. They got started putting up 84 feet of 3 row high gaurdrail. Then the rain came for three days and they had to stop. The banking is to steep to risk someone getting hurt. They have put up 20 ft. tall poles every 40 ft that will have cable passing thru to keep all race cars inside the place. The new light poles in turn 1 and 4 are in.They hope to have the gaurdrail done in 2 weeks. The water has been plumed to the pits.200 tons of fill dirt has been put down to help keep some erroding problems that they have had.The electric company will be putting in a tranformer for the pits in the next two weeks.Jeff said to all the folks that have come up to the track and spoke to him, he said it has been nice visiting with them and the support they have showed has been very in couraging. One more thing the gaurdrail will be 4 rows high when finished.I hope that will help answer some questions. And to the guy who keeps criticizing Jeff about cutting the grass,he's still cutting the grass.
