Apparently, there are more folks than just these Bed and Breakfast people that are working against the Track, otherwise this would almost be a done deal by now. There are definitely tracks out there in a better area that wouldn't have the neighborhood trying to close them down the first time a dust particle escaped the speedway grounds. Dog Hollow, Latrobe, Thunder Valley, heck even Challenger.

They have been working on this for months and still have a lot of to do, challenging the ordinance would be another delay.Saturday night would probably be the best venue for them anyway! Friday you would be against Lernerville....Bedford...and Dog Hollow! Latest Dog-Hollow rumor I heard came from Jim himself...and that was the track is opening back up in May????? Also heard that the track is owned by the Family and not just Jim. And that other family members don't want to sell????? I think the track(Ebensburg) would do well Saturday nights! They are not planning on running Limitted lates...so no competition from Amp and Hummingbird! And Marioncenter has its own group of guys that run there! A lot of them don't go anywhere else! Why try to get the curfew extended to Midnight????? 11pm would be fine! Lots of tracks have 11pm curfew! Challenger allways ran against Marioncenter. They are about 30 minutes apart...and both tracks seemed to do fine! I think they would get the TVR cars and pick up a few from the other tracks! I see Saturday night working for them! However...I personally would prefer Sunday! I would challenge the ordinance with a good lawyer! ordinaces are made to be broken or changed! Happens all the time! I guess we will see how determined to race these guys are!

The latest facebook posts say that since Saturday is the option that the divisions would now be Steel Block/358 Lates, Hobby Stocks (Pure Stocks), 4 cylinders, crates, and possibly E-Mods.
Why would you race steel blocks/358's when you have three other tracks in the area all racing them on the same night??? If Hesston runs....make that four tracks? Sounds stupid to me!

Not Bashing......But its allmost 2014 and these guys have nothing as of yet! Not even a race day let alone a schedule! Or any work at the track done! I want this to re-open as much as anyone! But I don't want to see it fail. Its allways smart in business to get your "Ducks in a row" before you proceed! What would another month mean at this point???? I would try to get it right from the start! Whats the best senerio for this to be sucessful........SUNDAY! Just my .02 You will be better off to fight the Foes before you get opened and put thier issiue in the past! Or have to deal with them after you open!

Had to have been more to it than that, hard to believe a crappy little bed and breakfast rules the fair board.Id rather see Thunder Valley or Hesston open back up.so a couple people can ruined it for hundreds? because that's fair and all.. Bring your Interest to Knoxdale, PA. There is an exceptional track with a ton of potential, and no bed and breakfasts in sight.

Thunder Valley has had big late model races over their existence. UFO, Three State Flyers, Macs series and I think World of Outlaw late models years ago.there are so many good tracks that have shut down. Hesston, Central pa Speedway, Thunder Valley, Challenger, I don't know about thunder valley but the others had some pretty big races.

The people in the town of Ebensburg do not want a noisy race track in their quiet little town, making dust and having all those haulers dragging trailers through their town ,just face it . how big of a shame would it have been to sink a pile of money into this track and then have the people go to the town meeting and have you shut down ? all the equipment is already at thunder mountain and the place probably does not need a whole lot in the way of repairs jeff taylor and his guys had the place fixed up pretty nice for the race they ran there . i am pretty sure tom mott said the place is available for lease at one time .
So true, if they would have gotten it opened they would have gotten 3 or 4 races in and then would have been shut down. Probably better off in the end that they didn't put the work in the place. Latrobe is a track that would be real close to being ready. They run motocross in the infield, bleachers and concession stand still al there. Would need basic track maintance.
